To sua trench Samoa.
Is this the best water hole in the world??

Well it very well could have been if the torrential rain the night before didn't turn it into a murky mess!

But despite that, we could still see the potential the trench would be when it is at its Instagram best!
As seen here.

We woke up during the night to the sound of rain hammering the roof.
But we didn't realize how much rain we actually had. Until 9am the next morning we jumped in the tour van and made our way to the To Sua Trench

When we arrived there was a sign at the enterance which stated that the trench was closed due to the torrential rain. Booooo.

Enterance fee is 20 tala per person ( $11 AUD ) which was included in our tour.
We were super excited to see the natural beauty in person.
So we entered with the knowledge that the trench was closed for swimming.
The surrounding landscape was still very beautiful. So even though we couldn't go for a swim, it was still nice to visit.

As we entered chickens were running around the fields.

We passed the first trench that was full of trees that hadn't broken though to the ocean yet.

These trenches are formed from a lava tube which had caved in on itself. And exposed a beautiful swimming hole.
They had built a very steep ladder with a pontoon.

The trench links to the ocean so it is tidal and has a very strong current.
To Sua translates to giant swimming hole.
But unfortunately due to the rain the water had all turned to mud instead of the crystal blue water.
Apparently a tree had fallen into the trench and blocked the entrance to the ocean. Turning it as brown as the Brisbane River.

None the less we had a nice time exploring the surroundings with a nice view of the coast line.

There is also some rock pools that you can have a swim at.

We will have to return one day to see this in it's full beauty!

Stay tuned for more Samoa Adventures 😊

Thank you 🙌
Wow! Such a beautiful scene. 😍🤩 Does the hole naturally made? It's amazing how they preserve that. So pristine 🥰
It is very beautiful! There is an underground lava tube that that runs out to the ocean that have caved in which created this trench
Shame we had so much rain that it was closed that day for swimming.
If only it did not rain, you would have been able to see the real beauty of the water hole. Still, you got to enjoy exploring the surrounding area😊
That's it , it was still a beautiful place to explore!
This is the most exciting fun yet scary adventure for me! But for sure it would be nice to see and experience. Pass for now but a beautiful picture would be great!
It is a beautiful natural water hole that's for sure!
