Fukuoka gate japan

G'day hive, it's been a minute since my last post.
But I just returned from a trip to beautiful Fukuoka Japan

One day we ended up in the city of Fukuoka and decided to go for a walk and get lost in the city to see what we could find.

It wasn't long until we found an oasis in this concrete jungle.

There was some beautiful gardens with a shrine surrounded by a moat.

Which this pair of ducks have called home.

They made for a nice picture as they swam around with the concrete gate in the background.

I like that the Japanese, despite the lack of space, maintain these oases of peace.

Fukuoka is pretty great. I personally love the Meiji Jingu Shrine in Harajuku. It's like time slows down there.
