I would love to experience snow, yes we have it here in NZ, about 250km away and only in Winter. Traveling is something I try avoid, long trips in a car is boring.
Why do you not travel on a bus, or maybe on a boat?

I used to travel a lot, been to Australia, Japan, Pacific Islands. It just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I suppose I feel content just to stay where I am, watching the world through other peoples content.
