Surtir gasolina en Venezuela, ¿misión imposible?. / Supplying gasoline in Venezuela, mission impossible? [ESP-ENG]
¡Hola amigos de @Lifestyle! y buenos días para todos 😊. Actualmente, surtir gasolina en Venezuela representa un enorme desafío. Filas kilométricas para las cuales se necesita disponer de tiempo y una gran cantidad de paciencia. Así ha sido la experiencia para mi mamá y para mí en las últimas semanas, ya que soy yo quien suelo acompañarle. Sin embargo, ayer en la tarde y para nuestra buena suerte, ¡encontramos la bomba de gasolina casi vacía!. Una verdadera bendición, y hoy quiero detallarles nuestro recorrido.
Hello friends of @Lifestyle! and good morning to you all 😊. Currently, filling up with gasoline in Venezuela represents an enormous challenge. Long lines for which you need to have time and a great deal of patience. This has been the experience for my mom and me in the last few weeks, since I am the one who usually accompanies her. However, yesterday afternoon, to our good fortune, we found the gas pump almost empty! A true blessing, and today I want to detail our journey.
Todo comenzó hoy alrededor de la 1pm aproximadamente. La idea inicial era salir a la bomba de gasolina a las 12pm, pero debido a que comenzó a llover muy fuerte por mi casa tuvimos que esperar un poco más de lo planeado. Me bañé de manera apresurada (porque como siempre se me estaba haciendo tarde) y partimos rápidamente. Debido al rastro de la lluvia, la ciudad se sentía fresca y las inmediaciones del centro lucían muy hermosas. 😍
It all started today around 1pm or so. The initial idea was to leave for the gas pump at 12pm, but because it started raining very hard by my house we had to wait a little longer than planned. I hurriedly showered (because as usual I was running late) and we left quickly. Due to the trace of rain, the city felt cool and the downtown area looked very beautiful.😍
Mientras nos acercábamos a la bomba, crecía nuestro temor de que se hubiera acabado la gasolina, que hubiéramos llegado demasiado tarde, pues la fila era muy pequeña y eso es algo que por lo general indica que ya la gasolina acabó, por lo que tocaría esperar otros 5 días para surtir, y eso habría significado un gran inconveniente y decepción.😕
As we approached the pump, our fear grew that we had run out of gas, that we had arrived too late, because the line was very small and that is something that usually indicates that the gas is over, so we would have to wait another 5 days to get gas, and that would have meant a great inconvenience and disappointment.😕
Al llegar allá, mi madre bajo a comprobar si estaban surtiendo y mientras tanto, yo cuidaba del auto y al mismo tiempo observaba los alrededores. Llevaba un suéter pues al salir de casa el clima estaba nublado, pero luego cambió drásticamente y salió el sol nuevamente. Por lo que estaba ahí con el sol bien fuerte y comenzando a sudar, pero decidí tomarlo con gracia 😂 reír para no llorar dicen.
When we got there, my mother went downstairs to check if they were stocking up and in the meantime, I took care of the car and at the same time observed the surroundings. I was wearing a sweater because when I left the house the weather was cloudy, but then it changed drastically and the sun came out again. So I was there with the sun very strong and starting to sweat, but I decided to take it with grace 😂 laugh so as not to cry they say.
Me fui tan rápido que ni me dio tiempo de colocarme un poco de gloss, o colocarme mis zarcillos, pues me los suelo quitar antes de dormir pero había optado por ponérmelos antes de salir.
I left so quickly that I didn't even have time to put on some gloss, or put on my earrings, as I usually take them off before bed but had opted to put them on before going out.
Al llegar, el auto que estaba antes de nosotros en la pequeña fila era un Volkswagen, lo cual pareció gracioso ya que me recordó a la película de Disney llamada "Herbie a toda marcha" ,en la cual uno de los personajes centrales es un auto de esa marca y en ese mismo modelo en específico.
When we arrived, the car that was before us in the small line was a Volkswagen, which seemed funny because it reminded me of the Disney movie called "Herbie at full speed", in which one of the central characters is a car of that brand and in that specific model. in which one of the central characters is a car of that brand and in that specific model.
Posteriormente el Volkswagen (o herbie, como yo suelo llamarles) se marchó, supongo yo que porque ya había comprado su ticket de la gasolina, y quedamos frente a ésta suv plateada.
Afterwards the Volkswagen (or herbie, as I usually call them) left, I guess because he had already bought his gas ticket, and we were left in front of this silver suv.
Transcurrieron unos 15 minutos después de ellos, en los cuales mi mamá llegó de comprar su ticket y la fila comenzó a avanzar, sin duda el momento más gratificante al estar dentro de una fila. Luego de unos pocos minutos llegó nuestro turno de surtir, no podíamos sentirnos más contentas. Surtimos aproximadamente unos 30 litros, pero al momento de tomar la fotografía (que mostraré a continuación) se encontraba por los 18 litros y contando.
It was about 15 minutes after them, when my mom arrived from buying her ticket and the line began to move forward, without a doubt the most gratifying moment when standing in line. After a few minutes it was our turn to fill up, we couldn't be happier. We filled approximately 30 liters, but at the time of taking the picture (which I will show below) it was around 18 liters and counting.
