How I Spent My Weekend (Sunday 6th August 2023)

Hello friends, how are you doing? This is to share with you how I spent my Sunday (6th August, 2023).

On this day, I had an appointment to travel to Eket, Akwa Ibom State, to measure a group of Men in a Church. They sent for me, through my customer whom I have been working for since 2018. They wanted a uniform for their men's day celebration which will be coming up sometime in October.

Perhaps, I had negotiated price and agreed on an amount per person. We also agreed they would give me some money to help cushion the effects of hight transportation. Because I needed to meet them in church, I woke up as early as 5am, took my bath, dressed up and had a cup of tea with a few slices of bread. By 6:15 I had left my house to [AKTC Park](https://what3words.com/sounds.digit.regarding Aba). On getting to the park, I discovered that a bus to Uyo had much more traffic than a direct bus to Eket. So I got a ticket to Uyo which cost about #1800 (6 @Hive or 39 @leo).

Soon after, the bus left the motor park to Uyo. I was surprised to see that the Aba Ikot ekpene road have been maintained to some extent that motorists now use it. Bellow are some of the pictures i captured along Aba - Ikot Ekpene road.

When I arrived Uyo, it was already 11:30am. I notified the driver to stop me along Uyo road, from where I took a drop in a tricycle to IBB. On our way, i captured these pictures of the Akwa Ibom State E- Library See picture below.

After I came down from the tricycle, I walked on foot for about 10 poles, before I saw a car going my way. Bellow is a sign post i saw along that Uyo-Eket road.

Soon after, I joined a car heading to Eket. I was the the third passenger to join the car. Icommunicated to the driver, that I was in a hurry. He promised to take off once we get one other passenger. Fortunately for us, two siblings came to join us. So we left the park sooner than expected. When we arrived Eket, it was raining, So I quickly called a motorcyclist to lift me to the church. When i arrived, an one of the protocol persons directed me to where I can stay and wait they dismiss. I stayed there and waited while I pressed my phone.

I waited for about 30 minutes before they rounded up with the service, I met with them for about 2 hours, withing which they selected the fabric of choice and color. I also measured them all. By the time I left there, it was already 4:15pm. I stopped at Ikot Ekpene and walked around the plaza. I lived in this town for about four years. Bellow are some of the pictures I took at Ikot Ekpene.

Behind me, you can clearly see the Four Point Hotel that's the tallest building in the whole state.

When I left the plaza, I decided to see the current condition of my former office. (Keystone Bank, Ikot Ekpene Branch) when i got there, I shed tears. This was a veey busy and lively bank befor it was closed down in November 2015. Bello is a picture I took of the Bank.

Finally, at about 6:15pm, I walked down to AKTC Park bought ticket and entered the bus loading to Aba. I arrived hole at about 9pm.
