Photo shoot with Rocío - Part 1 Sensual - Sesión de fotos con Rocío - Parte 1 Sensual (ENG/ESP)
Hi friends, today I'm going to share part of a photo shoot we did with @rop1. I contacted her after seeing her photos on Instagram to do a theme I had in mind. I sent her some samples for reference. This time she came by my house where I usually set up a small studio, within the space allowed by the dimensions of my flat. We talked about how we were going to approach the session as it was the first time we were working together and we didn't know much about each other's expectations.
Hola amigos, hoy voy a compartir parte de una sesión de fotos que hicimos junto a @rop1. Me contacté con ella después de ver sus fotos en Instagram para hacer una temática que yo tenía en mente. Le mandé algunas muestras para que tuviera de referencia. Esta vez ella pasó por mi casa en donde suelo montar un pequeño estudio, dentro del espacio que me permiten las dimensiones de mi departamento. Hablamos cómo ibamos a plantear la sesión ya que era la primera vez que trabajabamos juntos y no sabíamos mucho de las expectativas de cada uno.
The photos I'm going to upload today is one of three sequences, as other things came up and we were so enthusiastic that we took more photos than we had planned to take. In another instalment I will upload more.
Las fotos que voy a subir hoy es una de tres secuencias ya que al final fueron surgiendo otras cosas y el entusiasmo nos ganó e hicimos más fotografías de lo que habíamos pensado hacer. En otra entrega subiré otras más.
The idea was to do an English detective-type theme with a sensual touch, adding a spark of eroticism. First we took some more informal photos to break the tension of the first meeting, regulate the light a little and then, as we both relaxed a little, we moved on to the theme that had brought us together. I took out some accessories that I had prepared and gave them to Rocio so that she could prepare herself. The elements were not many as you can see, an umbrella, a tie and a bowler hat, the only thing missing was a mackintosh, but I don't think that was necessary.
La idea era la de hacer una temática tipo detective inglés con un toque sensual, aportando una chispa de erotismo. Primero fuimos haciendo unas fotos más informales como para romper la tensión del primer encuentro, regular un poco la luz de lugar y luego a medida que los dos nos íbamos relajando un poco, fuimos pasando al tema que nos convocaba. Saqué algunos complementos que había preparado y se los dí a Rocio para que se pudiera preparar. Los elementos no eran muchos como pueden ver, un paraguas, una corbata y un sombrero bombín, solo faltó el impermeable, pero creo que no fue necesario.
Some time ago I had seen some photos of this kind and I was waiting for the opportunity to take them. Luckily I had the collaboration of Rocío, who lent herself to this prank and who made the job very easy for me because of her dedication and sympathy.
Hace tiempo había visto unas fotos de este tipo y estaba esperando la oportunidad de poder hacerlas. Por suerte tuve la colaboración de Rocío que se prestó a esta travesura y que me hizo muy fácil el trabajo por su entrega y simpatía.
For this occasion I used two backgrounds, one white and the other black, which I combined with each other in order to achieve variants and have different options. In this case, I used the ambient lighting (ceiling led light) and a slave flash with a white umbrella diffuser as the main light. The camera I use is a Nikon D5200 with a Nikon 18-140 mm lens.
Para esta ocasión utilicé dos fondos, uno blanco y otro negro, lo cuales fui combinando entre uno y otro al fin de conseguir variantes y tener diferentes opciones. Usé para este caso, la iluminación propia del ambiente (luz led de techo) y como luz principal un flash esclavo con difusor de sombrilla blanca. La cámara que utilizo es una Nikon D5200 con un objetivo Nikon 18-140 mm.
The portrait is still a challenge for me, where several factors come together, one is the lighting, in this case artificial, with its different configurations, flash location, bounce etc. Another factor is the model-photographer relationship, the direction that the photographer gives to the model must be clear, friendly and create an atmosphere where the person standing in front of the camera is as comfortable as possible and can enjoy that moment. Finally, choosing the best shot, the angle, the configuration of the camera, a whole cocktail that should result in a mixture that is as close as possible to the imagined product.
El retrato sigue siendo un desafío para mi, donde se conjugan varios factores, uno es la iluminación, en este caso artificial, con sus distintas configuraciones, ubicación del flash, rebote etc. Otro factor es la relación modelo – fotógrafo, la dirección que el fotógrafo hace sobre la modelo debe ser clara, amable que propicie un ambiente para que esa persona que se encuentra parada frente a una cámara, esté lo más cómoda posible y que pueda disfrutar de ese momento. Por último, elegir la mejor toma, el ángulo, la configuración de la cámara, todo un coktail que debe dar como resultado una mezcla que se acerque todo lo posible al producto imaginado.
