Hidden Gems in the City: Some Days are just Good Days
Greetings Wednesday Walk Community! ✨✨
My health was awful last week, so I couldn't walk much or write my daily adventures on Hive. It's also really hot in this country, and if you leave the house in the middle of the day, you'll almost certainly acquire a sunburn. Just a quick update on my studies: due to the rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the National Capital Region, as well as the extreme heat index, we were temporarily sent back to virtual class, which is why many people are getting sick and suffering from heatstroke. Because the majority of our students come from far away, our university's administration decided to halt the in-person class right away. To be honest, I'm relieved since I'm having trouble managing my time travelling from home to school, particularly my daily school budget. However, I'm hoping to finish this semester without too many difficulties.
After dropping my son off at school this morning, I decided to take a walk home. Although their regular class time is still in the afternoon, their school has implemented a three-period schedule due to the extreme heat and the rise in Covid cases. The other two days will be asynchronous, meaning they will receive information about modular activities and complete them at home.
At 6 in the morning I was still there at his school waiting for the announcement for the parents to finish. After that, I walked home. Since the sunshine is beautiful, I enjoy walking and taking pictures along the way.
This arrangement on the dikeside is astonishing. Children were once terrified to go there since it was frequented by junkies. It was simply an alley a few years ago, but I can't believe how much this location has transformed. Congratulations to the Chairman of this village. It's evident that many people come here to play and socialize because it's comparable to a park.

I came upon this tree while walking. I initially assumed there was a sakura cherry blossom tree in our surrounding area, but it turned out to be a Kapok Tree, a type of plant that produces cotton. If you look too closely, you'll think you're in a different country. Actually, I first saw it a few years ago, but I didn't anticipate it to continue yielding fruit until now.

I also appreciate the inner beauty of these Coconut Trees. As I checked, the trees were so healthy and were also producing healthy coconuts. Since the Philippines is in a tropical country, I can truly say that many trees can survive even when the weather is hot.
This tree is another one that draws my eye. When you see it, you might think you're in Japan, however this tree is actually a Delonix Regia, a tropical tree. This tree's blossoms and color are so stunning and incredible that I believe it is nearing the final stage of its blossoming season.
It appears that I have witnessed and experienced something genuinely extraordinary on this day. I would have visited numerous villages close where I reside if the extreme heat of the sun's rays didn't irritate my skin. My day, on one hand, went well, and I liked getting around, even if it was just for a few hours. The adage that you will ultimately feel better when you go out is real.
This is my #WednesdayWalk entry for this week created by sir @tattoodjay.
I hope that I made you smile for a while.

Is covid still rampant in Manila? I didn't have any chance to get more details about it though the health system's kinda lax lately still it is worrying if we acquire one in our place.
Good thing we now have virtual classes set-up I can imagine the time and stress due to the extreme heat that we are experiencing yesterday was too much!
Yeah I also thinking bakit di gaano binabalita ng media pero sa DZMM last time my news about the new variant eh, then ayun biglang nagpa online mga universities.
Holy heaven! Is Covid-19 still a thing over there? Not good, but at least you had a nice walk and good weather.
Yes, a new covid variant has been reported in some areas of this country, better be prepared...

In my place right now, I have seen a couple of trees bearing flowers like that. They really look like cherry blossoms from afar. I plan to plant one in the backyard.☺️
Me too. I'll ask mom if she can plant a tree like this. ☺️
Thank you dear for having some time to read this blog. 🥰
You're welcome.☺️
Grabeh may covid pa pala dyan sa Manila. Matanong ko nga friend ko if nakakalabas pa ba sya.
Parang nomral nmn sis kaso nagpapabalik lang ulit mask sa mga establishments
Oh, i see. minsan nga parang naging normal na lang yong covid, nagiging flu-like na sya.
