Attending University-Week
Good day Hivers! It's been a very busy week for me since we are celebrating our university week and at the same time, we are organizing a webinar to be conducted on Saturday. But because this will be my last term in college, I decided to attend Day 1 of our Festival in school. At first I didn't even want to go because there were so many tasks piled up but then, I realized that I still need to take time to enjoy since I only happen once in my life to attend such gatherings.
I arrived here at our University a little late because I had some important appointment with my son's adviser. I was tired and stressed just this morning but thank God, my dad agreed to pick up my son and he will take my son home. After the meeting, I rushed on my way to my school. The weather is also very hot so I'm already in the flight and I'm already sweating. When I arrived at school, the strict guard almost didn't let me in because of what I was wearing. Fortunately, I was able to had reason with him because I was well dressed and I believe that my white tshirt and high-waist pants were applicable to the event I am attending.

When I entered the university, I still had a hard time getting a signal to chat with the friends I was supposed to meet on campus. I think I wandered around the campus for almost two hours until I saw a former classmate. I met one of my batchmates when I was a Life-long-Learner student and that meeting was so unexpected because I never knew they were also attending the said event. A few hours later, some of my friends also arrived, so we decided to go around the campus.

We also spotted a wedding booth where someone from the same class was getting married. People around them were almost shaking hands, so I joined in with my friends. Actually, I remember this kind of booth a few years ago. In the past, there were even committees chasing women to lock them up in Jail booths and then get them married. That was so cute and so fun! But I have never experienced this because I do not agree and if you are ever caught by the committee, you can get out of the Jail booth as long as you pay twenty pesos. Ahhhh, bring back so many memories!
Since we had been walking around the campus for some time, we decided to go out to eat. We picked Jollibee because it was the only fast food with air conditioning and there weren't many students inside. My friends and I bought their meals and I picked 2 mix and match which jolly spaghetti, fries, pineapple juice and tuna pie. My friends and I were so happy chatting with each other while eating. I feel we miss each other. We are not totally best of friends but I felt the reconnection.
After a few minutes, we decided to come back at the campus gymnasium to witness the University pageant. It took a lot of minutes before it started so it was very tiring. It's also crowded inside the gym and we can hardly breathe. But my experience here was very good because I could feel the joy of the college students. In a few days and fun, the stress of academics seems to have disappeared. Even though I didn't finish the pageant, I went home with many memories of this day. I didn't regret attending and the experience was so worth it.
Walking is a great way to escape our chaotic lives, find peace and also experience new things. I hope that everyone of us here is having a good time strolling. God bless and have a blessed week! 😇🌻🍀
