Pomegranate: Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet!

Namaste to all Phone Photography lovers!🙏

I often sit quietly on a bench for some time after gossiping with God in the temple I visit every evening. There is a pomegranate tree right in front of my bench at a little distance, which did not even have leaves till last winter.

By February, it had many leaves and then with each passing day's growth, from March onwards, the buds started appearing, which initially looked like the bulbs of Diwali decorative lights.

However, I did not take pictures of the tree's growth every day in the last one month but only 3 times in total and that is because in our place, it is believed that plants also rest as soon as the sun sets, so one should not pluck anything from them at night or disturb them in any way.

Whereas, as I said, I sit on the same bench every evening, and this tree is planted right in front of me at some distance. By the way, in these pictures you will see the entire journey from buds to flowers and then fruits, seeing them grow in front of your eyes is really a feel-good feeling.

To be honest, this is the first time I am seeing pomegranate flowers and now its fruits are developing from the beginning like this.

It is such a great feeling to sit quietly for some time in the temple premises without using the phone, which gives a different level of peace and positivity.

And these are the latest pictures of flowers turning into fruits from yesterday evening. Although I don't know anything about pomegranates, right now the back part of the flower has just started taking the shape of a fruit, so hopefully it will take a few more weeks for it to grow big and ripen.

If everything goes well and no one plucks these pomegranates before time, then I will definitely make a blog and update you when they grow big and maybe soon I will also plant a pomegranate seed in my home garden.

There was a pomegranate tree at my youngest son's house, and unfortunately, it was cut down.
It's a fruit with excellent medicinal properties.
How wonderful that you share these images and words about this fantastic tree!

Without realizing it you've been accomplishing something great here, patiently waiting for the subtle changes to give us this photo post today. It's good that it's not an everyday thing, the way you did it is perfect to appreciate the growth of the flowers, and I know you will successfully share the rest of the process later on. I really liked this, I am hoping to fall in love with some plant too that will help me capture the process of changes as it blooms... Thanks for sharing! 🙏

Wow, thank you for this awesome compliment. I definitely will try to share its further process with all of you. I will also try to grow this plant in my home garden in a pot. Hopefully this plant will flourish there too! :)
