Belly-Button Cap Fungi!
Namaste!
This is my entry for #FungiFriday initiative by @ewkaw π
Generally, all mushrooms are umbrella-shaped, especially those I have seen to date, which are umbrella-shaped or flat saucer-shaped but this mushroom is different; unlike them, it is funnel-shaped and it has a belly-button cap.
And this too was growing among the grass on the ground instead of any dead tree trunk. Initially, due to its brown colour and slightly dry texture, I thought that perhaps it was now in the last stage of its lifespan but it is not so, it is still so fresh and it may grow a little more in the next few days.
Since I am not knowledgeable about mushrooms, I don't know whether it is edible or not, but according to the little information I gathered with the help of Google Lens, it is a mushroom of the Omphalina family and it is not considered edible.
But due to its unique shape, this mushroom looked attractive and I also couldn't stop myself from taking its pictures. Since I have taken all these pictures with my mid-range phone (OnePlus Nord CE2), their clarity may not be that good.
I have not used any additional lenses and all these photos were taken in natural light in the evening in cloudy weather.
That's all for today's blog.
I hope you liked my Phone Photography! :)

That's awesome! Keep up the great work and you'll reach your next milestone in no time.
I think that the curious shape of these mushrooms is due to the fact that they have already matured and expelled their spores. Generally that happens, that they turn the hat upside down and acquire that funnel shape. Beautiful photos.
Maybe you are right, I really don't have any information about it but I know that it is not very old at all because the weather necessary for growing mushrooms has been here for about 7 to 10 days only. But this shape was really unique and attractive to me. :) Thank you! π
