A little bit of winter-My Actifit Report Card: February 13 2026
It was a wet and cold day all through central Arizona but it was a great day to head up to Flagstaff for a few hours where the snow made for beautiful hiking.

Our routine morning walk was interrupted a little bit when a neighbors pup managed to push open the enclosure gate at their rv spot and the playful 7 month old Labradoodle strolled into our spot to say hi to Lulu.
Fortunately my wife knew where he lived so after he sat in our rv for a bit with Lulu we all walked him back to his anxious but happy owners.
From there is was a damp 2 miles walking which helped to warm us up a bit while the misty clouds settled over the nearby hills.
By the time we reached Flagstaff the drizzle had turned into wet snow and there was already an inch of snow on the ground. The roads and sidewalks were slippery with the slush so I had to encourage Lulu to slow down so I didn't take a fall.
The dirt road and trails up by the Mesa was much easier to navigate as the surface was much more hiking friendly. Lulu was having a great time (as usual) in the snowy conditions and she was ramping and rolling with playful abandon.

The hike up the hill was a little bit harder with the snow but it was fun to be out in the forest with a gentle snow fall. Even with the snowy conditions there were plenty of birds flying around.
The snow was steady as we headed back to the car but it was still a great walk and Lulu got to play with a couple of children and enjoy one last roll in the snow.
