Jumping spider on the prowl
Alright, I know spiders are arachnids and not insects but since there isn't a "Fascinating Spiders" community we'll go with this one
I came across this nice jumping spider perched among a flowering patch of native Sunflower obviously on the hunt for a meal.
I haven't been able to ID this one yet but Jumping spiders are dimorphic between the semester so it could have been a female but in any case these spiders are fascinating arachnids and amazing hunters like tigers of the insect world.

That's fine, as in the subtitle of the community is stated:
"A place to share photos and interesting facts about insects and other arthropods."
(However, according to the community rules, one should also not post more than once per day.)
