My Actifit Report Card: March 7 2026
March has been very warm and dry so the landscape is quickly beginning to green up and soon the trees will be covered in leaves and the flowers out in force (which will make the honeybees happy).

My endurance has been up and down this year as my motivation to run has been lousy and I've struggled to maintain any regularity in my training.
At least Lulu is feeling so much better and almost back to her old self as far as her activity is concerned as I just need to keep plugging away.
My run was a decent enough 5 km up the Blowout Trail to get my pulse rate into a good range while enjoying the lush trail conditions.

I wish I could knock out the 8 to 10 miles right now but it looks ascthough I'll be trying to regain endurance through the Summer and hopefully be ready for the 24 hour run in Colorado at the end of September after our volunteer work in SD.

We had an easy hike along the lower Verde River near the Tuzigoot ruins along the empty paths along the river banks. The river was flowing nicely and the cottonwood trees were full of noisy birds. The soft river silt soil made for easy walking and Lulu loved exploring all of the smells to be found.

I'm on a long dog transport to the NM state line and back tomorrow so there probably won't be much of an opportunity for exercise but I hope everyone else has a great day outdoors.
