My Actifit Report Card: March 4 2026

My little Lulu is still having some problems with her back legs, so I headed off to Lynx Creek alone so she could take it easy for a few more days.
The area was quiet and only the birds and bugs were my companions down at the creek. The recent precipitation and much warmer weather has brought out the early foliage and even a few butterflies to brighten things up.

I took the longer mile plus trail down into the narrow ravine with the nicely flowing creek. Not too tough going in as it was a long downhill, then a relatively level but tricky trail to my digging spot.

Several hours of digging in the dirt then running for gold, and by 3 pm, it was time to pack up and head back up the hillside to my car. Thankfully the ground was relatively dry so I didn't have to worry about my footing but the mile long grind uphill with tired legs and back (in addition to my loaded backpack) made it a tough finish to my activity.
The day in the forest was wonderful although it wasn't the same without having Lulu there today but she's feeling better and I'm sure eager to be back exploring as well.
