My Actifit Report Card: June 15 2024

June is already halfway done and soon we'll officially be in summer but the heat has already been cooking us for over a week and today was no exception 🌡.

Wr were alone on our morning walk and thankfully Lulu was in the mood to move along.
Just a few pauses to pee otherwise we moved steadily along and finished up the 2 miles.
Granite Basin was crowded with most people crowded along the lake shore and a few out kayaking. We headed off along the easy and sunny trail that leads towards the trail to the top of the mountain. The temperature was already in the mid 80s so any rigorous hike on the rocky ascent was definitely out of the question.

We hiked along on the winding and rolling trail that would carry us almost 3 miles and eventually bring us out to Granite Basin Lake.
Lulu kept on scanning the forest for any squirrels to chase but our only company were the occasional bird and bees enjoying the wildflowers.

Lulu headed straight into the cool water at the lake and waded right on to cool off as well as checking out all of the activities (as well as make a new doggy friend) before we finished up our hike.
