My Actifit Report Card: September 21 2023

Both Lulu and I had a very productive day as I took her out on a couple of good walks together as well as a short late afternoon walk by myself.
This morning was cool but sunny and Lulu was ready to go early. The dirt field section was teeming with colorful wildflowers than helped to brighten up the otherwise drab landscape.

We walked along quickly except for a couple of pit stops for Lulu up on the dirt path before resuming a nice walk to get back home and over to the dog park for an hour or so.
Since Lulu was feeling good and I wanted to get out and enjoy nature we headed over to busy Lynx Lake to take a hike along the shoreline path.

As usual the lake was busy with the parking lot full of cars and many people out enjoying the lake as well as walking the shoreline along with us. The flat trail is great for a relaxing walk with plenty of people to meet and lots of great views of Lynx Lake and more than enough places where Lulu could get into the cool lake water for a bit of a splash 💦.

The wonderful forest scenery with the clear water in the lake and the tall pines reminds me of my happy place up in the northern Black Hills of South Dakota where I so want to be next year. For now Lulu and I both loved the opportunity to be out in this great spot for a while and I'm hoping we get outdoors again in the next few days.

I finished up my day with a very easy and relatively short walk around the neighborhood just to get in a few more miles.
A great day and looking forward to an equally great Friday and weekend.
