My Actifit Report Card: September 8 2023

We all had a wonderful family trip over to Lynx Lake foe a nice and easy walk along the shoreline path and then a couple of hours relaxing by the shore.

Of course Lulu and I first had to put in our early 2 mile walk before the sun started to really warm things up. One of our friends was walk-through dirt trail with her dog Dolly so Lulu was really happy and running around like a puppy. A good start to Friday and the upcoming weekend.
My wife has been trying to strengthen her legs and get better endurance so that we can go out on more trips.
The path we took is a relatively level paved trail right along the western side of the lake so it would be easier for Linda to handle and give Lulu plenty of opportunities to splash around in thexlear lake water.

Even with the sunny sky the pine trees provided plenty of shade and a refreshing breeze was blowing and keeping things comfortable for the 2 miles out and back. Linda's hip started to bother her near the end so it was a very good indicator of where she was strength-wise. Hopefully we'll all get healthier and stronger for more outdoors activities.

Of course I wrapped up the day with a good 4 mile loop on my usual pm walk. Not as comfortable as the wind was absent and the heat was still in the mid-90s but my back and knees felt fine so that was a good sign.
Looking forward to better weather this weekend and cooler days as Autumn moves forward.
