I see the pedal issue as a manufacturer's error. It appears the manufacturer didn't take the situation into consideration when designing the bike, and I don't think it's late for that to be corrected. I wish the correction is made now, for subsequent productions, without further delay, in the interest of users.

Agree, a bike definitely needs robust pedals, that dont brake easily, safety critical part, because needed for the stability of the driver.
