How Do You Convert Hive Assets to Fiat?

This is one of those questions that, for myself at least, I do not yet have an answer. I wish I could use my Hive assets as a valid form of payment in the world, to buy things I need, and to pay bills. I am well aware that this is indeed possible in certain places now, and it's spreading, but it's as of yet unavailable to me. Besides using Hive assets in the world directly, there is the more challenging option of converting said assets to my local fiat currency, the US dollar. This choice, unfortunately, is far from easy, as I refuse to go though gatekeepers that KYC me, or to pay unlawful taxes for the conversion. Because of that there are presently no known ways for me to actually use my Hive assets in the world in a practical fashion.

Mind you, my account is not at a place yet where I would even consider trying to extract and use any of my assets, so it's not an immediate concern, but I do want to be somewhat preemptive, and to prepare myself for the time when I am ready to do so. I know that in many places in the world that people are able to convert HIVE or HBD to their local fiat currencies fairly quickly and easily, but things aren't quite so simple or easy for those in the US, sadly, at least not yet.

So I wanted to put that question out there for US nationals: Do you have a way to change your Hive assets into US dollars without being KYCed by gatekeepers and unlawfully taxed? There may not be a way yet, and if that's the case, OK, I'll just shelf this line of exploration for a while, until it actually becomes something that I'm ready to do.

Given that my assets on Hive are inherently and intrinsically more valuable than any fiat currency, I'll just continue building, growing, and saving, knowing that at some point what I've created here will indeed be very useful for real-world payments and purchases. I just don't know when yet. I think that there are going to be some huge changes and shifts this year on a global scale, so we'll see!

I left the Flow House yesterday, Wednesday, just before 3PM, a bit later than my usual lately. I put my focus first on taking the rest of the photos for this post, as I took a good bit of them in the morning. After taking photos, I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of Melochia leaves for cow-milking food. Unfortunately and very surprisingly I ended up cutting myself with my machete just after I was finished collecting leaves. Basically I had put the machete on top of the pile of leaves in the wheelbarrow, then I tried to balance the small Melochia log (from the tree I just cut down) on top of the wheelbarrow (something I've done many times before), to then carry to the shop area. However it happened, the log rolled, the wheelbarrow fell over, and the machete went flying into the air, coming down blade first right on my right thumb joint. Needless to say there was a good gash, and a fair amount of blood. I went to Tutu's to put on some sort of band-aid or banage, then once it was stable, I returned to collect the fallen wheelbarrow of leaves, and my machete. Ano got the Melochia log for me, and Bryan (who just returned on Sunday with his new girlfriend) took the wheelbarrow down to Tutu's for me, after he saw how I was managing it without using my hand.

Since I had very limited use of my right hand, I decided to go do a little paid work weeding in Ano's nursery for a short while. Since I only used one hand, it got quite tired and cramped after a bit, so I wasn't as efficient as I usually am. After finishing with one-handed weeding, I took a shower, strained out kefir (with some difficulty) for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, then I grabbed my leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, and headed back to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive tasks, and catching up on notifications. I didn't have a desire to make food, and between my superfood fire coffee and my kefir blend, I wasn't hungry, so it wasn't really an issue. I wasn't sure how I would have managed the cast iron-pan anyway.

I finished up everything on Hive just before 11PM, doing a quick round of token management, before spending a bit more time scanning and perusing my X feed until a little after 12AM, when I finally went to bed. I did thankfully sleep well, waking up around 7:30AM, doing another round of token management, then getting out of bed just after 8AM to go make my superfood fire coffee.

I attended the community NVC meeting until just before 11:30AM, then Ano showed me some work that I could do (in my wounded state) in Sperry's place later today. Bryan will collect cow food today, as that's not something that I could easily or quickly do with one hand. It's just before 1:45PM, so a good time go end this post, so that I can get to my afternoon round of essential Hive tasks, and then work on Sperry's place later. It's definitely not as quick or easy to type on my phone, as my right thumb and wrist are a bit painful and swollen, but I make due. Where there's a will, there's a way, as the saying goes. 1.) Heal my broken heart. 

2.) Bring myself and my life back into balance, integration, and wholeness, and do regular integral practices. 

3.) Make my plant nursery beautiful again. 

4.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again. 

5.) Continue my work with Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, Bastyon, and other sovereignty-driven technologies, as well as learn relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute. 

6.) Get regular healing sessions with women flowing again.
