I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I've been talking recently about how my four primary goals and focuses on Hive are to build and grow my Hive Power, my HBD in Savings, my Reputation, and my Hive Multi-Stream Passive-Income Machine, as fast and as much as possible, as to me each is a equally important part of what I am working to create here on the Blockchain. Today I want to go more into exactly why I put so much importance into growing my HBD in Savings.

With the recent price of Hive in relation to HBD, a great many have been converting most or all of the HBD that they receive into HIVE to power up, or to buy other desired tokens. While I definitely understand this, and even did it myself for several months, once I got a clear picture of the truly incredible potential that HBD in Savings has to move us closer to sustainable financial independence, I quickly reprioritized my goals and and daily focuses.

HBD in Savings, like so many assets on the Hive Blockchain, is ruled by compounding interest and exponential growth. With a 20% APR (yes, there is talk about lowering it again, but that is still not decided), and monthly compounding interest, we have the very real possibility of making our goal of financial freedom a reality.

To give you some clear and unambiguous examples of what I mean, let's look at some numbers. 1,200 HBD in Savings would yield 20 HBD in interest every month. True, that's not really at a level where it's super useful yet, but let's continue, as it grows fast. 12,000 HBD in Savings would yield 200 HBD in interest each month, which is an amount that could be very useful indeed in many places in the world. 120,000 HBD in Savings would give 2,000 HBD every month in interest, which is an amount that could be of immense help to people in most places in the world. At 1,200,000 HBD in Savings the monthly interest would be 20,000 HBD, which is now in a range of being able to live off of easily, even with a family, pretty much anywhere in the world, and still continue saving, and easily. Even if the APR for HBD in Savings is lowered back to 12%, at 1,200,000 HBD in Savings the monthly interest would still be 12,000 HBD, which is definitely not chump change!

So that is, in very clear terms, why growing my HBD in Savings became one of my top goals here on Hive. Every single bit of HBD that I receive now immediately goes into Savings, because the faster I can grow it, the sooner I'll be able to reach a level where I can live off of the monthly interest myself, to help others, continue growing Hive, and to help fund important sovereignty-driven projects.

Yesterday morning from 9AM to 10AM, I gave Iolanthe and her brother Elohi their second Spanish lesson, as a part of their home-schooling program. The class went pretty well overall, and I did see some light bulbs of understanding going off in their minds. After finishing with teaching, I returned to the Flow House to write and publish the previous iteration of this post, and to do my best to get my Hive essential tasks done, along with as much catch-up as I could. I receive soooooooooooooo many notifications! I left the Flow House around 4PM again, taking some time first to walk around the property a little to take more photos for this post, and then I putting my focus on doing some paid bamboo propagation for Ano in his nursery.

After finishing my nursery work, I took a shower, made food for myself, got food for my kitten friend, then made my way back to the Flow House once again to jump into my evening round of Hive catch-up and tasks, which took me many hours again, and I still wasn't able to catch up fully...😂 I made myself go to sleep around 11:30PM, thankfully I slept well, waking up around 7AM, and doing a round of token management and catching up on Hive, before finally getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee just before 9AM.

After a bit of a drop, BTC continues its upward march once again. I'm still watching prices closely, in hopes of selling my large holdings of DOGE and SWAP.DOGE, to the buy and power up HIVE. It's now getting close to 1:30PM, so it's an excellent time to end this post for now, so that I may get to my afternoon round of Hive essential tasks, and a bit more catch-up, before going to do some work on the land.
