I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

You my dear Hive family are the very fortunate early adopters of the superlatively exceptional and significant Hive Blockchain, and all the amazingness that comes with it. I can feel it with every fiber of my being that we at the beginning of something truly incredible, something huge. To me the evidence for this is visible, clear as day. Hive has what it takes to take the world by storm, and to change it for the better.

As people's faith in governments, banks, and fiat currencies plummet, cryptocurrencies are coming into people's awareness as a viable alternative, and a way to circumvent a system that ever-more obviously does not have our best interest in mind. As I've said before, all cryptocurrencies are not the same, at all. Some, like the CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies), I would not touch with a 1,000-foot pole, as they are designed to enslave. Etherium too is a bit of a joke to me now, insane gas fees and it's basically now controled. Bitcoin is still an excellent store of value, but it does not scale well at all.

Polish_20220714_121631044.jpg

As most of us are aware, there are innumerable cryptocurrencies, most however with dubious actual use or value. The Hive Blockchain Ecosystem, and its layer-1 and layer-2 tokens, stand out notably in this crypto cacophony, with a great many use-cases and many layers of value. Any token in the Ecosystem can be converted to any other (yes, there are some quite useless layer-2 tokens that you generally would not want), and converted to local fiat currencies. Fast and free transaction on-chain, too.

When people fully understand that with Hive they can create wealth that they own, and with which they can use in anyway they'd like, on or off-chain, many, many, many more people will be clamoring to our door. There's going to be a hell of a lot of education necessary to bring so many up to speed with how our Blockchain works. We as early adopters of Hive are laying a foundation, or framework, that we can use to assist a great number of people. We need to get clear about what is most important for newcomers to know, and streamline our onboarding methodologies.

Polish_20220714_121631044.jpg

From my perspective Hive's eventual explosion is all but guaranteed. I don't know when that will happen, but I'm sure it will. When Hive does pop, the value of our token holdings will skyrocket, and even our dust will be wealth. Because we quietly and diligently build, grow, and save now, we will be the whales of the future Hive. I imagine that we'll need a new sea creature to designate the whales of today, because they will be at an unfathomable level of wealth.

Be grateful that you found Hive when you did, that you're here now, and for everything that you've accomplished up to this point. This is only the very beginning of something truly great. Remember that!

Out here in the jungle the days have been beautiful lately, with copious amounts of sun interspersed with some wondeful rain showers, and very comfortable temperatures. My Hive catch up seems to take me quite a bit longer than even just a short time ago. Lately it takes me clear until 4PM to catch up fully, even when working from morning, on my own account and on my comment moderation for @aliveandthriving. Sometimes, like yesterday and today, I couldn't finish before I had to go do some land work, making it necessary to finish my catch-up in the evening. This is part of the reason that I haven't been publishing more than one post per day most of the week. I just don't have the time with everything else I'm doing on Hive.

I macheted some very large swathes of cane grass and Mexican giant daisy in the Durian Orchard with Elohi (Ano and Melekai's 12-year-old son) in the late afternoon to early evening. Elohi left early again, while I kept going for a fair bit longer. I worked up another very good sweat!

With my machete work done, I took a shower, got some leftover food from yesterday from the Landing, then headed back to the Flow House to finally finish my Hive catch-up, do a few Hive tasks, and then to begin writing this post.

Teasing me with the blackberries again, huh? 💜

There's going to be a hell of a lot of education necessary to bring so many up to speed with how our Blockchain works.

That's why I wish there was one website with clearly written and regularly updated information, each topic on its own page instead of an unreadable lump of text, about how to create an account, Hive/HBD, powering up and down, savings, RC, HP, voting power, what Hive Keychain is, Hivesigner, the various keys and why to store them safely, recovering an account, the different frontends and exchanges, tribes and communites, tokens, games, what curation, curation trails and upvoting/downvoting is (and why you won't get rich doing it if you have no HP 😹) and everything else anyone on Hive needs to know.

What, one website? That sounds centralized..., and what if the person making it is biased in favour for or against something? It doesn't have to be one person making it. I'm sure people from all over Hive could work on such a site together. Just like they work together with tribes, communities, curation accounts and other things!

It's a PITA to search for these things, and when you do find a post it's often years old since for some reason (at least on @ecency) results are sorted by earnings instead of newness by default, which took me months to notice! Finding Hive info on Google is even more difficult, since Hive isn't exactly a unique word 🤪

Hehe...just a tiny bit, here and there! Those Mysore blackberries grow and mature quickly!

Maybe a Hive decentralized wiki, open for anyone to contribute, with a very clear 'Getting Started' link easily visible when visited. While all sorts of information is useful in that regard, how it's presented needs to be refined and streamlined, to make it easily digestible.

Yes, searching can be quite hit or miss on the main front-ends, with notable and odd quirks. I've gotten pretty good at finding things, though, on Hive and online in general. I wasn't aware of that about Ecency, though I'll keep that in mind when I search on it again. The present iteration of Hive definitely attracts and works with certain kinda of people and not others. I'm one of those weirdos! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Ugh, no! We set up a wiki at my last job, and despite writing clear guidelines for where to put pages, creating dozens of templates for different kinds of information, setting up the basic structure, and sending out a 10 page HowTo file, 95% of the people who were supposed to add their info to it made a mess of it. Erasing each other's pages by mistake or overwriting them, locking people out of sections, adding pages in the wrong sections, filming themselves reading a document aloud rather than pasting the contents to a page, then posting the film on youtube and linking to it, and always, always adding links to pdf or excel files on their own hard drives. What really astounded me was that all those people were teachers, some of them even taught IT! And they never learned either! I used to send detailed instructions on how to fix what they had done, but in the end it was easier to just do their job for them myself.

LOLOL...😆😅🤣😂 OK, no wiki. I feel you on the challenges of that endeavor! Interfacing non-tech people with various technologies can be extremely frustrating indeed. And tech people that don't get it or don't pay attention, even worse! I often just do things myself rather than try to explain how to do it to people. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I often just do things myself rather than try to explain how to do it to people.

Yeah, but there were almost 500 of them and only one of me, so fixing their wiki problems ate up a lot of time I should have spent on doing my job! Which was to create accounts for new employees on MS Office and all the other platforms we used, reset their passwords every time they forgot, assign them a computer and politely ask the hardware guy if he had time to clean one up and send it out, and of course delete said accounts again because that place had a horrible employee turnover! And answer simple questions like "Why doesn't MS Word open when I click a document?" "Because somehow you managed to uninstall it, please ask the local tech person to reinstall it for you next time they're around." "Why doesn't my edits of this shared document stay?" "Because you and all the others who are using it never hit save and close the file when you are done. Please open a fresh version every time, then save and close it after adding your stuff." "Can I have a new phone, the camera on this one isn't great?" "No, taking photos isn't part of your job, use your own phone for that." "But my boss says I can have one!" "Then please ask your boss to send in a requisition." and so on. And since I was only working half-time, I really didn't need any extra things to do when people could just RTFM!

Oh my...yeah, I can see how that would be a tad trying on your patience...😂! This is why I like Arch Linux. The excellent documentation is there for anyone to use, so if people don't choose to read it, it's their issue. It weeds out those that can't or don't want to learn to do things for themselves. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
