I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #306 - Keep Going, Even When Things Don't Go Well! - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Monday, May 29, 2023

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Today was the first time in over three months that I fell out of the top ten in the Hive Engagement League. For most of those three months I was in the top five. Apparently the massive increase in Threads use is what did it. Since I rarely use Threads presently, I couldn't keep up. While this is disheartening for sure, it also coincided with me surpassing my 2,000 HP milestone, so I'm hardly doing badly on Hive.

Some days on Hive just don't seem to flow or go very well, but that's just like life. And as with the two events mentioned above, it's not like all things are going wrong. There are always good things too.

Being willing and able to keep going and continue forward, even when things don't go well, is not only a mark of maturity, but also a core component of success, both here on Hive and in our lives. My goal is Hive millionaire whalehood. I'm not going to allow anything to derail me from the realization of that. Period. I see so many newcomers appear, give thing one or two tries, get discouraged, and then disappear. It makes me sad because with just some minor adjustments they could do wonderfully well here.

On what I'm going to do about falling out of the Hive Engagement League top ten, well, I've been getting gentle nudges to get into using Threads more regularly. This may be my impetus. I just need to come up with exactly how I'm going to make use of it every day. I really wish that it allowed more characters in Threads, because my posts tend to have long titles, and I use many tags, so there is rarely enough room for me to promote my own posts. I could promote other's posts, though. In any case, I'll find a way to integrate Threads into my daily routine, one way or another.

This exemplifies another important principle for success here on Hive, and in our lives - being able to adapt, change, and shift what we do, and how we do it, when the situation and events call for it. Hive is an ever-growing and changing ecosystem, that is under constant development. We need to learn to harmonize with, and meet, those changes as they come.

Today was a sunny jungle monday, with the usual two long meetings that I needed to attend, the Leadership Council meeting in the morning to afternoon, and the Logistics meeting at night. They were both longer than usual today, so I felt a fair bit behind on Hive most of the day, though I did finally catch up just a short time ago.

I left the Flow House about 4PM today, after giving Hive as much focus as I could after the Leadership Council meeting. Wild pigs discovered one of my newly planted Coleus beds, making a mess of it, so my first task for the day was to do what I could to put it back together. Once I had that done, I got the 12-foor orchard ladder and cleaned the gutters over Stefano's lab. My last task for the day was giving lots of cane grass in various places a very short haircut with my machete. That was a good workout that got me good and sweaty.

After finishing my machete work, I took a hot shower, then made myself some food in the Landing before the Logistics meeting at 6:30PM. The meeting went quite late, until about 8:30PM, so when it finally ended, I went strait to the Flow House to finish my Hive catch-up, and then to write this post.

It's now just about 12AM, so I'll end this post for the night, and get my tush into bed! I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
