I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #1388 - Hermes Agent Is on Fire, with Usage and Popularity Exploding - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Saturday, May 16, 2026

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I've been talking about Nous Research's extraordinary agentic-AI framework, Hermes Agent, quite a lot in my posts as of lately, and very interestingly my deep interest in this new project seems to be reflected in the massive and extremely-rapid leap in the usage and popularity of Hermes in the greater agentic-AI tech community, and beyond. As I've previously mentioned, Hermes Agent was only released on Github on February 26, 2026, and in that very-short time it's accumulated over 155k stars, and with its latest 0.14.0 release yesterday, it just got a whole lot more eyes on it with its new direct integration with X/xAI's powererful cloud-based LLM, Grok, which was shared by both xAI and Grok on X. X is where I first discovered Hermes, and the LLM/agentic-AI community there has been on fire with the rapidly-unfolding developments in the Hermes framework, with the concurrent community developments for Hermes, which is mirroring within the greater agentic-AI space (which now largely defaults to Hermes since its capabilities are so solid). It's really quite incredible to watch.

So far I've only been working with Hermes mostly using the locally-run LLM, Gemma 4 E4B, and while what I'm able to do with it within the context of my laptop's resource constains, and within the limits of what this size model's capabilities are, is indeed pretty nifty, I am very definitely feeling the limitations of my current setup. Seeing what people are doing by using Hermes with capable cloud-based models is blowing my mind, and certainly makes me want to give it a go as well.

I have no interest in paying for an expensive monthly subscription just to use powerful cloud-based models, so I'm going to start with setting up some cloud-based models for which usage is free within quota/usage limits. The benefit to this is that I could set up multiple different cloud models, with a different Hermes Agent using each one, thus giving me a functional orchestrated multi-agent setup, so that each agent could be used for specific specialized tasks.

These more-freely-available cloud models can't really compare to the likes of Grok, Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, but it would still be a notable upgrade from my current hardware-limited setup. Now I just have to do a bit of research to ascertain and decide on which LLM providers and models would work the best for my particular needs.

Given just how quickly awareness adoption of Hermes Agent is spreading, I'd guess that a goodly number of regular people (not just those involved in agentic-AI) will be hearing about Hermes quite soon. Hermes can already be natively installed in Linux and MacOS, with native installation for Windows now being in beta testing, along with beta versions of native Android and iOS apps also now being in the works. Pretty soon, Hermes will be able to be installed and run on pretty much any device with an operating system. I get the feeling that all this is just the barest beginning, and I'm excited and very much looking forward to being a part of what's to come.

Yesterday, Saturday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by a little bafore 3PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, and to collecting a few food supplies from Tutu's to restock Wabisabi. With those completed, I took a quick break up at the Flow House, after which I went to chop and dump bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and to tidy the area up a bit, before procuring a shovel and an o-o bar to go dig another round of planting holes in the front orchard. With that wrapped up for the day, I took a shower, I made myself some food in Wabisabi, I collected my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and finally I headed back to the Flow House, to work a bit more with Hermes, and to write this post. It's now just before 2PM, so it's an excellent time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on a few small jungle-community/land work and tasks. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until the next iteration of these posts tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

This is our collaboratively shared Witness node between the We Are Alive Tribe, and @borniet's and my MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) Project, here to build something good for all of us! The higher in the witness ranking we go, the more that we'll be able to grow the We Are Alive Tribe, and the more that we'll be able to share with all of you!

If you appreciate what we're doing with the We Are Alive Tribe, and feel inspired and motivated to lend a hand in building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, which benefits all of us, community conntributions/donations/investments may be sent to our 'We Are Alive Tribe Sovereign Wealth Investment Fund' account, @waat-swif. They're deeply appreciated, and are put to very good use.

Bradley's tenaciously committed and all-in on Hive for the long haul (just like me!), and the higher his witness goes in the ranking, the higher the weekly BBH and BBHO dividend payouts will be!
