I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #1129 - HPUD Today, 10,800 HP This Week, and More Pool-Investment Clarity - Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Saturday, August 30, 2025

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Well, I've learned a whole lot from my $600 fiat investment that I've been testing in three different diesel/liquidity pools (with the purpose of growing my assets for my next HIVE mega-powerup), and I've definitely gotten a good feel for which pools are best with a given amount of liquidity. While the SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.LTC and SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.BTC pools are both excellent, there is no question that for the same amount invested, that the SWAP.HIVE:DEC pool is the best by far in terms of pool fees earned. How much total SWAP.HIVE that I'd receive after removing and liquidating my assets depends strongly on the price of DEC in relation to SWAP.HIVE, however, which as I've been running numbers is what I've been seeing very clearly. As an example, with the present DEC price, I'd receive fewer SWAP.HIVE than when I added my assets to the pool, if I removed my assets now, which is a tad annoying.

This annoyance is compounded by the clarity that I just received last night, after running more numbers, that I would indeed gain more total HP if I simply removed my assets from the pool, liquidated them, converted them to HIVE, and powered them up now. It also doesn't help that it's HPUD for me today (after 2PM in my time zone), so it would be great to be able to get everything done, and do my mega-powerup this time around, instead of waiting until near the end of the year, as the timing would be ideal, if the price of DEC were higher that is.

The pool fees that I've been earning in the SWAP.HIVE:DEC pool are indeed really, really good, but that doesn't change the fact that I'd get quite a bit more bang for my buck over the next 3 months by just powering everything up now. I'm coming to understand that diesel/liquidity pools are a great option for long-term investments, but that they leave a bit to be desired in terms of shorter-term investments, where assets need to be grown, and swapped, as quickly as possible.

With the information that I have now, and the timing, I'll just keep watching the DEC price, and if it goes high enough, I'll remove my assets from the pool, and begin the process of getting them ready to power up, which may be today, or some time over the next month. If I'm not ready for this HPUD, I'll do my best to be ready for the next one.

On a positive note, and not counting my assets in the pool, I'll easily surpass 10,800 Hive Power this week, regardless of any HPUD powerups, which is great indeed. Whether I'm able to do my mega-powerup today, or on the next HPUD, I'll just keep watching the DEC price, and do it as soon as possible. Fingers crossed for high DEC prices!

Yesterday, Saturday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, just before 1:45PM (I stayed longer due to rain), and while the weather was very not ideal for photography, thankfully I already had enough photos for another two days of posts, so I didn't need to take any, and I just focused on land work. I chopped and dumped bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and I tidied the area a bit, after which I went to do another round of clearing in the durian orchard, with Avi's assistance. After a quick asset-management break up at the Flow House, I did one more shorter round of clearing, before finally calling it a day, going to take a shower, and collecting some leftover food and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, and with those in hand(s), heading back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done quite early, by around 8:30PM, and after some asset management, running lots of numbers, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed around 11:15PM. I woke up around 6AM, to the power out again, much to my chagrin, doing more asset management, watching and restarting the solar electrical system three times, finally going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 1PM, so a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, straining and blending kefir, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! 2025 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
