I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #1017 - Lots Going On, and a Comedy of Errors - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Saturday, May 10, 2025

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

While I'm usually pretty efficient and effective in how I do things, sometimes I'm a complete goofball, and when that happens, my day is more akin to a comedy of errors. I've got a lot happening today, with two important events coinciding, and me juggling various other important activities and tasks, finding time for it all, including some to give three sessions this week (2 full sessions, and 1 for focused work). Juggling a lot at once does tend to make mistakes much more probable, but I'm usually very aware and careful, except in those times when I'm not.

My new SSD cloner and SSDs, that are necessary components to upgrade the backup system that I used to clone my laptop OSes (3 separate Arch Linux installations, orgingally on 3 different hard drives, and now on 3 SSDs) arrived yesterday, something for which I've been working and waiting for a while now. Last night I copied the Arch installations from two of the hard drives to their new SSDs, which thankfully went successfully. This morning, however, as I was getting the Arch install that I'd been using since I got my new laptop (since it was the only one that I was able to transfer to an SSD) ready to clone, I decided to try to resolve one annoying issue with kwallet/kdewallet. Bad idea.

Indeed that did not go well, and in the process I almost lost all my profile data for my preferred web browser, Vivaldi. Super thankfully, since I had already cloned this Arch install my only other 1TB SSD, I had a backup of it, which after restoring it, I was able to correct my error. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had spare time when it occurred, but it happened at the absolute worst possible time, right before I was supposed to start wriing this post, so I was in a bit of a race for time for a little while. The kwallet issue is not resolved, but at least I was able to get Vivaldi functional again without losing all my data, and just in time.

The other coinciding event today is that my last month-long AI-trading-bot test completed this morning, and although I took great care to get everything ready to start my 6-month trading run with the best bot profile, much to my intense chagrin, and after the fact, I realized that I forgot to select the correct bot profile, so the default, not optimal bot, was chosen. Doh!

Although I inquired whether there is any way to switch the bot profiles after they've been activated, I'm pretty sure that I just wasted almost 2 SWAP.HIVE for the 3 HELIOS tokens that were burned to activate the bot profile. That kind of thing annoys the $!@%& out of me, as it likely means that I now have come up with another 1.7 HIVE, to buy and burn another 3 HELIOS, to restart the bot with the correct profile. Just wonderful. Yeah, some days, no matter my best intentions, just don't go as planned. I just try to correct my errors, and keep moving forward with more awareness.

Yesterday, Saturday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, a little after 2PM, diving first into some photography for these posts. With a nice batch taken, I worked in my nursery for a while, then I went to sunbathe on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn for a short time. After sunning, I went to Tutu's to collect some food supplies for the Landing, then once back at the Landing, I made myself a simple grilled-cheese, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I returned to the Flow House, to gently jump into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. There were fewer last night, so I was able to get through them all by around 10:45AM, and after some asset management, and assorted research, I went to bed just after 12:30AM. I woke up about 6:30AM, having slept reasonably well, doing more asset management, getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee in the landing, and then heading back to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1:15PM, so quite a good time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to first focus on photography for these posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update tomorrow morning, and the next version of this post tomorrow afternoon! 2025 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
