Rainy Day In The Village Watercolour

Hello, everyone. It's raining today. In this session I'll paint the image of the day. First mix red and green and dissolve the paint thinly. Prepare lots of it. Like this. Flat wash the surface with the paint. Leave the paper unpainted for the spots where it's reflecting the light from the sky. Wait and see what it's going to look like later. Prepare a darker tone of the same blended color.

This is the mountain seen in the distance. You can vaguely see the silhouette of trees. But flat wash the rest of the area. Use an even darker tone of the same mixture of green and red and..paint groups of trees toward the front. When painting a landscape in the rain,it's important to distinguish light from dark to represent items at various distances. Darker tones of color should be used for something closer. This is the grass growing at the curb. See how I'm using a brighter tone of color as it's close to the front. But I'm using a rather cool
green to reproduce the Image of raln. This is actually the roof of a house.

See how the roof is shining in the reflection of the rain? Add some dark color to let the house stand out. But remember to limit the number of
colors to use. Use such colors as a cool green or
grayish green. If you need to use a different color, keep it minimal so that it won't undermine the entire balance of the painting.

This is the wet road. Paint roughly in large vertical and horizontal strokes. Just like this. Then scratch the surface here with a painting knife. This is actually a utility pole. In this way. Now paint the reflected image of the utility pole on the road. Then now you can see how the road is wet. After drying the surface, split the brush tip in the same gray... ..to draw the rain with it in light strokes. Here too rub the surface with a wet brush tip and absorb the excess moist with paper.....so you can barely see the rain. Then that's it!
