My garden, the realm of my soul projects

Hello everyone

Here comes the weekend, I can say that the week that just ended (I'm referring to the days I work) was a great one and I couldn't wait to get into the weekend so I could get a few things in order (cleaning) and relax.

Reading the engagement of this weekend and analyzing the two options I decided immediately and I chose this weekend to relax in my garden and this way I combine the useful with the pleasant, honestly I had not scheduled any work in the garden now but somewhere in a week or two, but if the opportunity arose I will do this work a little faster no one will mind.

At least during the summer I spend a lot of my weekends gardening (apart from when I'm away travelling, but I always make up for the days when I'm not actively gardening), my garden isn't very big, but with great passion I try to look after it, I forgot to tell you that the garden is in the back, like all my neighbours.

I divided the garden into several parts, I chose to set up an orchard where I planted around 40 trees, the orchard I started 15 years ago and I can say that it takes up quite a lot of my time with work specific to fruit trees (this is not the first time I show you my garden and orchard).

My favorite part of the garden is the portion where we planted strawberries, yes strawberries are my favorite fruit (this year we managed to freeze a few boxes of strawberries that we will eat in the winter or use for cookies).

It's time to say a few words about not one, but two of my projects this weekend.

The first project is to be able to produce compost that I can then use here in my garden, I should mention that I do not use any chemicals in my garden.

Yes, for the compost I have a special container where I have already started to put layers of vegetable scraps, soil, leftover vegetables used for food and fruit that I didn't get to pick and that fell on the ground.

I'm a beginner at the composting thing but eventually I'll see what comes out, and hopefully if I did something wrong I'll fix it next time.

A second project would be to set up a lavender crop (here I refer to a few rows), but I started from a very small lavender bush, last year I didn't manage to propagate it, and this year I saw that the bush is much bigger and I have somewhere to take seedlings.

By now I had to cut it, in Romania autumn has already come and my lavender bush had to be cut and normally in October or early November it can multiply through the stumps.

I will create more seedlings and put them somewhere above freezing and in the spring I will see how many of my seedlings have caught and are ready for planting.

For this purpose I used two pots that I will fill with lavender stumps and hope to plant in the garden in the spring.
