Does alcohol help to loosen our tongues and thoughts?

I took more from alcohol than alcohol took from me.
WINSTON CHURCHILL

As every time here at the end of the week come some writing topics that raise the ball to the net, and yes, and this weekend I will try to write a few lines about the first topic, mention that everything you will find here is about my way of being, yes, I will respond from my point of view.

When we think of alcohol we don't necessarily have to think of something bad, alcohol consumed in normal amounts can sometimes even be beneficial.

As far as I am concerned, I am not a big alcohol consumer, I do not consume alcohol on a daily basis, but only occasionally at home (when meals are rich in meat, I will immediately explain why I consume alcohol then) or on special occasions and here comes the answer to the first writing, yes, when I attend various social events I choose to consume alcohol in moderate quantity to loosen my tongue and thoughts (as I wrote in the title).

I am a very shy person, it is quite difficult for me to open new discussions with people I do not know (here I mean those people who are part of the entourage of friends of mine), but after consuming a drink (preferably quality) in a few minutes I have the feeling that someone has freed me of all inhibitions and I will definitely find topics to discuss with other people.

I don't want to get into the subject of alcohol consumption from the point of view of the different religions that are present among us, period, everyone decides for himself what is good for him or not.

Since I brought up the consumption of alcohol at social events personally, I have two more habits to say so, namely, in order not to have problems after an evening of partying where usually there is a lot of eating, we Romanians are known as big gourmets, before the main course I have a light drink which I found out is called "aperitif drink", and later after I have eaten the main course which usually contains meat, a lot of meat, I serve a white or red wine (depending on the origin of the meat) a digestive drink, and that way I am sure I will enjoy the event to the full.

As in any "gang", there are those macho ones or those to whom you have to offer a keg of booze even so I don't think it's enough for them, honestly they don't need alcohol to feel good they are in a good mood anyway.

In Romania we have a saying about those who consume alcohol in larger quantities, namely "you drink alcohol until the dogs bark at you on the streets" (it is quite difficult for me to translate this correctly in English but here I mean that when you walk on the street after consuming alcohol you have a zig zag walk), or you drank so much that you "gave the ducks countless times" (this means that you vomited many times).

In conclusion, as far as I'm concerned, I will definitely have to consume alcohol in a small amount to give free rein to the words and maybe there are others who do the same as me.

I forgot to tell you that my main rule when consuming alcohol (even in small quantities) is not to get behind the wheel, so my advice to you is to consume alcohol in a moderate amount or in an amount that will not manage to take your mind and never combine alcohol with driving.

Drinking a bit to have a flow of words... I have never experienced drinking alcohol but the way you arranged those words for it seems like a legit idea.
