December is the month of magic, light, joy and good deeds, so Santa help me do one act of charty

Hello everyone

I hope you are in good health and more than that, many of you who cross my threshold in this post will celebrate Christmas as I will celebrate it, but this year away from the country, I take this opportunity to send you my best thoughts and a Merry Christmas with your families.

Today I have chosen a more sensitive topic both for myself and for those I will bring up.

I want to tell you something about an act of charity and kindness that I would do to a disadvantaged person this Christmas, as it results from one of this weekend's suggestions launched by @galenkp.

Allow me to make the introduction

A couple of years ago, somewhere in early autumn, we planned to visit a remote village in the Apuseni Mountains, Alba Iulia County, Romania.

The village is called Geamana and I read a lot of information about this village that impressed me and I wanted to live the experience of being there.

The village currently has just over 20 inhabitants, yes you heard right just over 20 inhabitants, all of whom are elderly.

Why does the village have so few inhabitants?

Some time ago, during the communist period, the then president of the country ordered the relocation of this village to another area (about 1000 people were relocated), but there were also villagers who did not want to leave their native home for which they worked very hard.

Why did people have to leave their homes?

Because on the place where their houses were built and effectively was the village of that time the president of the country ordered that all the poisonous substances resulting from the quarry in the area where copper was mined and processed be dumped here.

Today the village is a radioactive lake that ranges in colour from turquoise or red to dark grey.

Somewhere around this radioactive lake are the houses of the 20 inhabitants, here we arrived after about 30 minutes of driving on a road not exactly for a normal car but rather for a 4X4.

Arriving here we had the opportunity to talk to some of the locals, ladies how impressed me actually almost brought me to tears.

Here comes the answer to what act of charity and kindness to do this Christmas to a disadvantaged person.

My act of charity and kindness is my very presence there, in the house of a local and spending a few hours with him to reminisce (more them because they have something to tell), from our conversations I learned that no one comes here anymore except the few tourists curious about the turquoise or red water corridor, unaware of the pain of the 20 inhabitants, interested strictly in taking dozens of pictures for social media.

And in this year as in many others before these people at Christmas time do not want a decorated tree and many gifts under it, from what I have observed they do not want health so much, but they want to cross the threshold of their homes people with whom to exchange a few words, the lack of communication and connection with the outside is killing them.

Now you may ask me why they don't visit each other, since there are only 20 people, you know the answer is this, the houses in the mountainous area of the Apuseni Mountains are quite far from each other, secondly people are old, they can't walk for miles, they live with what they have in their households and from time to time someone brings them food.

By the way in winter it is almost impossible to reach this village, they are isolated from the world.

Dear visitors this was my last post of this year, because until after the new year I will be away and won't have access to my laptop, so I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.

P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.

Yours @triplug😉
