A tough decision WEEK260
A tough decision
Greetings and hugs dear visitors
The course of our lives here on earth includes both good and not so good moments, no one is perfect and neither is our health.
So it was in my case, life is beautiful, even with its challenges, who expects something you cannot control.
Knowing myself to be a fairly healthy person, I was shocked when I suddenly started to feel unwell, with pain in my back and gradually in other areas.
In no time I went to the doctor in the state hospital, here, after an ultrasound, the urologist told me the diagnosis, kidney stones of various sizes, and the conclusion was surgery.
I did not receive this diagnosis with confidence, and somehow in the following days I had nothing, I felt fine.
In the meantime I received another phone number from a private clinic in Cluj county (the clinic was about three and a half hours away from my house).
What can I say, the days passed and everything was fine until one day I started to feel very bad, I had terrible pains, I didn't know what to do, so I called the private clinic in Cluj and I scheduled a medical visit.
I arrived in Cluj in the morning, my urologist did an ultrasound and he couldn't believe what he saw, so he sent me for further investigations, a CT scan with contrast.
Because of the pain, I could hardly do everything I had to do, everything lasted for hours, I hadn't eaten anything from the day before, I was parched, I was angry, it was as if all the evil in the world had gathered around me.
I arrive again to the urologist, who already had the results of the CT scan on a laptop, as soon as I saw him I realized that something was wrong.
In a few moments I hear the diagnosis, one of the kidneys is blocked and requires emergency surgery and the other kidney is almost blocked and at risk of ending up on dialysis.
When I heard that, I actually froze and I didn't even know my name, in a moment of lucidity I called a nurse neighboring me and I told her what I went through and I asked her nicely to tell me what to do (she was the only one I had in those moments).
Her advice was, get into emergency surgery.
That's exactly what happened, it was after lunch when I told the urologist that I agreed to have the surgery that day there in the clinic.
Also, the procedures took quite a long time (I was not the only patient there) and after paying the cost of the operation (2000euro) in the evening at ten o'clock I was taken to the operating room.
Everything went well, and since then every few months I still have medical checkups so that those stones do not recur.
I can say that this surgery and the diagnosis were a big challenge for me, but I managed to get through it.
Dear visitors, today's post has come to an end but stay tuned if you would like to participate in the weekend engagement you can do it here.

Kidney surgeries are complex, and without knowing the technique used on you, I know that years ago they were major surgeries. The best decision was to have surgery, and please don't skip checkups even if you feel fine... it's the guarantee you have to continue living a healthy life.
And... I think the price was very good considering it was performed in a private clinic...
I wish you the best of health forever.
Thank you very much for your comment left here, and yes, these kidney surgeries are very complex, and sometimes risky, the price I paid for that surgery is still very high, I mean to earn that money I had to work for at least three months without spending any money from my salary.
Have a great week ahead!
