Preparing tulips for the next garden season
Good day dear mates! As so garden season comes to it's logical final I decided to prepare to the next season.
And of course due the warm weather I thought that it's time to plant tulips bulbs. To begin with, I dug up the beds where the tulips will bloom in the spring as I hope 🤞🤞🤞
First of all I picked out all the tulip bulbs from the soil, both old and newly formed this year. I shook it off the soil and washed it. Unfortunately some of them were damaged when I dug them up
In addition, I decided to add new varieties to those already in my collection. I took some of the bulbs from my friend.
I also decided to conduct an experiment and plant the bulbs that were left over from the tulips that were given to my mother. This variety called Sharada. Honestly I don't know is it real name of variety or just a marketing trick.
I also came across this interesting specimen of an bulb, where it turned out that one bulb was growing under another. And at the same time, the lower bulb sprouted through the upper one to continue sprouting during the growing season.
When bulbs were ready I made holes of the required depth and put humus and fertile soil into the holes.
