My Garden September update
Good day dear gardeners! It's 7th of September on my calendar, so it means that came time to publish last updates in my garden! Let's begin!
First of all for me September is time to peak up harvest in my garden. It is different vegetables, apples, berries and other...
At this time I want to start from flowers. Phloxes still delight with their flowering, just like roses and other flowers.
I especially want to highlight the autumn daffodil, this year I first planted it in my garden in early August, and as you can see, daffodils should bloom from day to day.
Remontant varieties of strawberries planted this year in a new place gave the second harvest this season and the children were able to enjoy it.
The rowan season continues in my region. There are a lot of berries this year, I think some of them will be dried, and some will be used to make alcohol tinctures.
Unfortunately, there are no apples on the trees this year. I think this is due to the frosts in May. I mentioned this earlier in one of my previous posts. But still there will be some grapes.
However, I do not know if the flowers on it were pollinated by insects. And if the fruits are still tied, will they have time to ripen before the onset of cold weather, or is it better to remove them now to let the plant prepare for the winter, gain strength and lay buds for the next year. So far this question is still open for me.
Now let's move on. And now I want to move on to vegetables. A healthy and huge pumpkin has grown on a compost heap. Now the whole family is waiting for it to ripen, to leave it in our planes for the winter and cook soups and other delicious meals from it.
The harvested tomatoes have already been processed and preserved for the winter.
Briefly, this is all about my garden in September, but the season continues, and I think I will have something to tell you in October!
P.s. This post is my entry for The Garden journal September challenge. All images in this post were taken by me!
