July Garden update

Good day dear mates! It passed almost 3 long months since my last post for HiveGarden community. Many things happened at this time. But let me tell you about all it step by step. I'll try to do it shortly. First of all I'd like to tell you about my garden because it is a middle of the season now in my region, and I'd like to fix some points in my hive blog.

Roots, seedlings and May chores

After storm in late April my garden started to come around a little bit. And near the beginning of May, the fruit trees began to bloom. Cherry trees, apple trees, plums blossomed.

Also, the tulips have bloomed.

In May, I planted tomato and cucumber seedlings in the greenhouse. In addition, I planted zucchini, peas and corn. And strawberry seedlings were planted on new beds.

June and first harvest

In June, the weather improved and I was able to start harvesting my first crop. The honeysuckle was the earliest to bear fruit, Due to the bad weather in May the berries were not very plentiful, however . However, children were very excited about the little blue berries!

Right after the honeysuckle, it was the turn of cherries and strawberries. Cherries were plentiful and the kids were able to enjoy the taste of ripe juicy cherries to the fullest!

To give you an example, this is the kind of full container we've assembled several times. It holds about a kilogram of cherries.
In addition to picking berries in June, I have been harvesting herbs and flowers. For example, in the third decade of June, I spent time picking linden flowers, which make a wonderful and fragrant tea, which we happily brew to warm ourselves on long winter evenings.

And at the end, I can't help but mention the roses. This year, because of the warm winter and early spring, roses bloomed lushly, literally a whole bouquet on every bush.

July & outro of the post

Finnaly we arrived to July. Here we have good enough weather, rainy days and first veggies on the table. Now enough time has passed in July and my garden has also grown dill, parsley, radishes and cilantro. We have already harvested some of them for the winter. And some of them go on salads and we add them to soups, meat dishes and fish.
And the zest on the cake, or rather a berry was raspberries, which we started picking just a week ago. But that's another story.

So that's all for now. Hope next post I'll publish asap. Stay tuned! yours @travoved
