📷 Classic View – Unique Version at Calton Hill [EN/DE]

The view from Calton Hill down onto Princess Street is one of the most iconic views of Edinburgh. You’ve probably seen it somewhere on social media before. When it comes to scenes like this, which have been photographed thousands of times in exactly the same way, I often try to do something new that I haven’t seen before. This time, I did that by creating a composite image. I held a lens in front of my camera with my hand right at the viewpoint and later inserted another photo of the view during post-processing. Below, you can also see the completely ‘normal’ photo after post-processing, as well as both RAW files I used for this composing.

Die Aussicht von Calton Hill auf die Princess Street gehört zu den klassischsten Ansichten von Edinburgh überhaupt. Höchstwahrscheinlich habt ihr diese auch schon mal irgendwo auf den sozialen Medien gesehen. Wenn es um solche Motive geht, die schon tausende Male auf exakt die gleiche Art und Weise fotografiert wurden, versuche ich oft etwas neues zu probieren, das ich bisher noch nicht gesehen hatte. Diesmal tat ich das in Form eines zusammengesetzten Bildes. Ich hielt ein Objektiv mit meiner Hand direkt am Aussichtspunkt vor meine Kamera und setzte später in der Nachbearbeitung ein anderes Foto mit der Aussicht ein. Weiter unten seht ihr auch das ganz "normale" Foto nach der Nachbearbeitung sowie beide RAW-Files, die ich für dieses Composing verwendet habe.
