📷 4 very different Shots with 3 different Lenses [EN/DE]

Hello everyone! Today I’d like to show you four of my favourite photos from my trip to Edinburgh, which I took using three different lenses and which are quite different from one another. Above, you can already see the photo I edited the most. Here, I used my beloved 16-35mm F2.8 GM. I photographed a classic white taxi and edited the background using a radial blur filter. Finally, I added a few lighting effects and had Photoshop generate an ‘Edinburgh’ number plate.

Hallo zusammen! Heute möchte ich euch vier meiner Lieblingsfotos von meinem Trip nach Edinburgh zeigen, die ich mit drei verschiedenen Objektiven geschossen habe und die generell sehr unterschiedlich sind. Oben seht ihr bereits jenes Bild, welches ich am stärksten nachbearbeitet habe. Hier kam mein geliebtes 16-35mm F2.8 GM zum Einsatz. Ich fotografierte ein klassisches, weißes Taxi und bearbeitete den Hintergrund mit einem radialen Weichzeichnungsfilter. Am Ende fügte ich noch ein paar Lichteffekte hinzu und ließ Photoshop eine "Edinburgh"-Nummerntafel generieren.

I stumbled across the spot for the second photo by chance. I hadn’t seen any photos taken from this pedestrian bridge on social media before and was pretty surprised that, in such a popular city, there are still new perspectives to discover for photographers. This time, I had my small, lightweight 50mm F2.5 G lens attached. I shot handheld and exposed for half a second to capture the light trails of the vehicles.

Den Fotospot der zweiten Aufnahme entdeckte ich zufällig. Ich hatte Bilder von dieser Fußgängerbrücke noch nirgends zuvor auf Social Media gesehen und war einigermaßen überrascht, dass man in einer derart beliebten Stadt bei Fotografen noch neue Perspektiven entdecken kann. Diesmal hatte ich mein kleines, leichtes 50mm F2.5 G aufgeschraubt. Ich fotografierte aus der Hand und belichtete für eine halbe Sekunde, um die Lichtspuren der Fahrzeuge zu erzeugen.

For the third photo, I used my most extreme lens. It’s a manual 9mm F5.6 ultra-wide-angle lens. With this special glass, I wandered around the grounds of Waverley Station. There I found this angle and was able to use the railings and parts of the roof to frame my shot.

Für das dritte Bild hatte ich mein extremstes Objektiv im Einsatz. Es handelt sich um einen manuellen 9mm F5.6 Ultra-Weitwinkel. Mit dieser Speziallinse spazierte ich auf dem Gelände des Waverley Bahnhofs umher. Dort fand ich diese Perspektive und konnte mit den Geländern und Teilen des Dachs einen Rahmen für meine Aufnahme formen.

I took the last photo as I was strolling up Princess Street towards Calton Hill one evening with my 16–35mm F2.6 GM lens. It’s a classic street shot that I particularly like because of the bokeh effects, and because you can tell from the hooded winter jacket that it was very cold that evening. Das letzte Foto entstand, als ich abends mit meinem 16-35mm F2.6 GM die Princess Street hinauf Richtung Calton Hill spazierte. Es handelt sich um einen klassischen Street-Shot, der mir vor allem aufgrund der Bokeh-Effekte sehr gut gefällt und weil man durch die Winterjacke mit Kapuze erkennen kann, dass es sehr kalt war an diesem Abend.
