You are kindly invited to take part in TRAVEL CONTEST's theme today "Seas and Oceans" :)

Feel free to interpret the theme in every way you like, hopefully more people will be inspired, motivated and challenged to join this contest round!

I don't know why it took me so long to find a suitable photo for this contest this time. Maybe because I've been on the sea theme for a long time and I mentally associate the reflection only with a water surface at the moment. Or because my tired brain for a while can't think of obvious things. Like for example, of the photo of this reflection, which I took two years ago in a favorite place for me - the port of Burgas with its sea station. Quite a spectacular view, I'd say, inciting to dreams and reflections, and especially to long observation. So, picture of the Marine station facade in Burgas, that's my entry for the Reflection theme contest.

  • No Honorable Mention today due to low participation.

Hello to all lovers of photography and the sea.

Today I present to you an aerial image of the small island of Formentera, in the Balearic Islands. The northernmost part of the island is a narrow spit of land that stretches for a couple of kilometres and divides east and west perfectly. This small piece of land is home to the Formentera salt pans, a thousand-year-old mine that has been recovered for commercial exploitation and which produces salt of excellent quality. The beaches on both sides of the isthmus are spectacular, boast the most pristine waters in Europe and are listed among the ten most beautiful beaches in the world by several tourism publications. Its name is Illetes Beach, located in the Ses Salines Natural Park, a natural space with a high level of environmental protection.

To be surrounded on all sides by endless water, to see the blue everywhere - this is something that can only be achieved on an island.
This could be great fun, but it could also be boring - maybe it depends on the island and the mood, attitudes and expectations of the traveler as well.

This is my entry - a picture taken from the ferry on the way to the island of Thassos.
