You are kindly invited to take part in TRAVEL CONTEST's theme today "Nature and Human" :)

Feel free to interpret the theme in every way you like, hopefully more people will be inspired, motivated and challenged to join this contest round!

  2. To enter, upload your photo(s) and text into the comment section below. There's no need to create a separate post.
  3. In order to be considered, an entry should consist of at least one photo and your personal story/info/memory.

  5. All the text you enter must be written by yourself in English.
  6. Deadline: One week starting from the datetime of the contest announcement.

I found this sculpture in a meadow in abandoned sea resort in Eastern Europe.
It was really strange feeling to see that.

  • No Honorable Mention today due to lack of participation.

This is a good example of how Nature and Human can do good together. I found this water source by the road, next to a mountain hill where a small spring coming though a rock has been turned into a female figure, carved in that same stone.

Probably that symbolizes fertility, or life? May be just the beautify of the nature and its feminine genesis? I do not know and I was not able to find more information about that artistic water source. I am also not sure if the face of the sculpture was damaged by time or it has been created that way.

Nature and Human, it's such an overarching topic. Don't we confront it every day in our daily lives. In our role as intruders in nature. Still, it was hard for me to choose a photo today. I wanted to be a little more positive, to show something different, not the regular negative human intervention in nature. Something unusual... You know how much I love unusual things. 😊 So this is a picture taken during my trip to Thassos Island. And this is a street decoration made by local people. It's so unusual, don't you think?

Yes, I find it an amazing and genuine idea. Very nature oriented, no harm, no damage, no pollution, nothing that generally characterizes man's relationship with nature, i.e. human intervention in nature... That's why I love it.
