Rain! Finally! After so many days of unbearable heat and drought, the sky burst into heavy rain. Even a real thunderstorm with loud peals of thunder. My unfortunate plants seemed to catch every drop of life-giving moisture. Finally it became possible to breathe normally! My dogs are happy too. In their thick fur coats, they suffered doubly from the heat. The only ones who aren't too happy are my downy chickens. When wet, they look terribly unhappy, but most of them managed to hide.
