A necessary introduction

Recently, it was my wife's birthday and her gift was a trip to a hotel in one of the places she likes the most in Cuba. It is true that these types of attractions and tourist trips are not in tune with our economy, but, there are times and occasions when you have to make a sacrifice and enjoy the pleasures that life gives us.

In this publication I will tell you the essential elements of our trip and I will try to make you travel with me through this beautiful world that is Varadero and I will show you in pictures the wonders that I was able to enjoy with my wife.

Birthday gift

When my wife would talk to her children and they would ask her what we had in mind for her birthday, she would tell them that she didn't know, but, they and she knew that something would come to mind. In a previous conversation she had told them that she would like to go to a hotel or be out of the house because house parties are work for the woman, because, as much as she doesn't want to do it, there is always cleaning, scrubbing and setting up after or during the party.
By the end of March, I already knew the gift and I was convinced that my wife would enjoy it because it fulfilled what she enjoys on days like these; besides, it was in Varadero, one of her favorite places.

The chosen place

When I looked for available places, which coincided with her birthdays, there were three hotels available and, to one of them, we had gone in 2021. As 4 is one of my favorite numbers and because it was cheaper than the other available, I decided on this and, I don't regret the choice.

Hotel Starfish Four Palms

This was the chosen spot and it is a 4 star hotel located on the beautiful beach of Varadero. It is one of the longest-lived hotels in the resort and was founded at the beginning of this century.
Its construction is predominantly colonial in style and, like this type of building, its space is dominated by patios, gardens and other attractions such as swimming pools, bars, restaurants and areas for games and full enjoyment.
In addition, in its facilities there are two main buildings, in which 267 rooms are distributed.

Hotel location and local attractions

The hotel is located in downtown Varadero, near the famous 42nd Street, where the Boulevard of this place is located. This is one of the most visited places by domestic and foreign tourists for the large number of facilities and services provided and for the quality of these.
In each of these places you can enjoy a coffee, a chocolate, buy a delicious Havana cigar, have a beer or eat a tasty pizza.

In the Hotel

The view of the hotel is beautiful, with the flags of the most visited tourists, among which are the countries of Canada, Russia, Cuba as the largest presence.
The place has an exquisite cleanliness and in the courtyard the lawn is properly cut and there are plants and flowers that beautify the place.

As soon as we arrived at the binder they put the handles on us, which means having access to all the services of the hotel, because they have been previously paid for.

Among the hotel services are: cafeterias, swimming pools, restaurants, playgrounds, bars. To go up to the rooms, the hotel has elevators that facilitate the arrival to the rooms.
The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning, hot and cold water service, comfortable beds and a minibar.
In the evenings we enjoyed different cultural shows that delighted the tourists.

A final comment

This was our second trip to a Varadero resort hotel and, again, the experience exceeded our expectations.
According to my wife, in these three days none of our illnesses made an appearance and we were able to enjoy almost all the options offered by the hotel without our body feeling it.

Will we be able to return to this place?

This question was asked to us in the folder, when we were handing over the room and they were taking the handle from our hands. Una introducción necesaria

Recientemente, fue el cumpleaños de mi esposa y su regalo fu un viaje a un hotel de uno de los lugares que más le gusta en Cuba. Es cierto que este tipo de atracciones y viajes turísticos no están en sintonía con nuestra economía, pero, hay momentos y ocasiones en los que hay que hacer un sacrificio y disfrutar de los placeres que nos da la vida.

En esta publicación les contaré los elementos esenciales de nuestro viaje y trataré de que viajen conmigo por este mundo hermoso que es Varadero y les mostraré en imágenes las maravillas que pude disfrutar junto a mi esposa.

Regalo de cumpleaños

Cuando mi esposa hablaba con sus hijos y estos le preguntaban qué teníamos pensado para su cumpleaños, ella les decía que no sabía, pero, ellos y ella sabía que algo se me ocurriría. En una conversación anterior ella les había dicho que le gustaría ir a un hotel o estar fuera de la casa porque las fiestas en el hogar es trabajo para la mujer, pues, por más que no lo quiera hacer, siempre hay que limpiar, fregar y acomodar después o durante la fiesta.
Para finales de marzo, ya quien escribe sabía el regalo y, estaba convencido de que mi esposa lo disfrutaría porque cumplía con lo que ella disfruta en día como estos; además, era en Varadero, uno de sus lugares preferidos.

El lugar escogido

Cuando busqué los sitios disponibles, que coincidieran con sus cumpleaños, había tres hoteles disponibles y, a uno de ellos, habíamos ido en el 2021. Como el 4 es uno de mis números preferidos y por ser más económico que el otro disponible, me decidí por esto y, no me arrepiento de la elección.

Este fue el punto escogido y es un hotel 4 estrellas ubicado en la hermosa playa de Varadero. Es uno de los hoteles de más larga vida dentro del complejo turístico y fue fundado a inicios de este siglo.
En su construcción predomina el estilo colonial y, como este tipo de edificación, predominan en su espacio patio, jardines y otras atracciones como piscinas, bares, restaurantes y áreas de juegos y disfrute plenos.
Además, en sus instalaciones hay dos edificaciones principales, en las que se distribuyen 267 habitaciones.

Ubicación del hotel y atracciones del lugar

El hotel se encuentra en el centro de Varadero, cerca de la famosa Calle 42, donde está ubicado el Bulevar de este lugar. Este es uno de los sitios más visitado por los turistas nacionales y extranjeros por la gran cantidad de instalaciones y servicios que se brindan y por la calidad de estos.
En cada uno de estos sitios puedes degustar de un café, un chocolate, comprar un delicioso habano, consumir una cerveza o comerte una sabrosa pizza.

En el Hotel

La vista del hotel es preciosa, con las banderas de turistas que más lo visitan, entre los que se encuentran los países de Canadá, Rusia, Cuba como los de mayor presencia.
El sitio tiene una limpieza exquisita y en el patio el césped está debidamente cortado y hay plantas y flores que embellecen el lugar.

Apenas llegamos a la carpeta nos pusieron las manillas, que significa tener acceso a todos los servicios del hotel, porque previamente han sido pagados.

Dentro de los servicios del hotel está: cafeterías, piscinas, restaurantes, áreas de juegos, bares. Para subir a las habitaciones el hotel tiene servicio de ascensores que favorecen la llegada a las habitaciones.

Las habitaciones son confortables y con servicios de aire acondicionado, servicio de agua fría y agua caliente, camas confortables y un minibar.
Por las noches disfrutamos de diferentes espectáculos culturales que hicieron las delicias de los turistas.

Un comentario final

Este fue nuestro segundo viaje a un hotel del balneario de Varadero y, nuevamente, la experiencia sobrepasó nuestras expectativas.
A decir de mi esposa, en estos tres días ninguna de nuestras enfermedades hizo acto de presencia y pudimos disfrutar de casi todas las opciones que oferta el hotel sin que nuestro cuerpo lo sintiera.

¿Podremos volver a este lugar?

Esta pregunta nos la hicieron en la carpeta, cuando estábamos entregando la habitación y nos quitaban la manilla de nuestras manos. La respuesta fue una sonrisa cómplice, entre mi esposa y yo que, quizás ustedes hayan entendido, porque al final el mayor disfrute que tiene la vida es vivirla intensamente.
