Bitter to feel Better

Every weed, every herb has its purpose you just need to pay attention to wat it does.

That's what my grandpa said according to my mother.

Lately, I had been feeling discomfort in my lower back so I took my dear wife with me to consult with Dr. Google. After my appointment and much deliberation, I realized that it might be a symptom that my kidneys might be in trouble.

I don't drink that much water, 8 glasses a day? Nah, I only drink two and much coffee. Coffee is life and no one can stop me even my acid reflux.

Yet I realized I am getting older and looking at my family, I don't want to hassle them in taking care of the sick me one day. Kidneys are very important in our body and one cannot live without them. Of course, there are lots of options to survive, Dialysis, and kidney transplant, bu they are too much and I know I could not afford them.

There goes me overthinking.

Lucky me to have known some herbal medicines though, and I had been using this herb for some time now. It tastes bitter but it makes me feel better.

We call it sambag-sambag in our tongue but is known as Phyllanthus niruri according to this site

phyllanthus niruri may help break up or reduce the size of stones that form in the urinary tract.
In a 2018 studyTrusted Source with 56 participants, researchers found that Phyllanthus niruri helped reduce the size of these stones. They also found that it improved the removal of magnesium and potassium from the body through the urine.
Another study Trusted Source found that Phyllanthus niruri helped reduce the formation of urinary tract stones.

I took out the upper part of the plant and added hot water in a cup, let it cool and drink. My mouth was filled with a bursting bitterness in one moment but it does not stay for too long and your mouth will feel okay.

It might not be clinically proven 100 percent, but I feel better every time I have this drink. Both me and my wife take this because it could make her feel better from migraine too.

What about you, do you have faith in herbal medicines or you prefer the synthetic ones?
