The famous Dutch Square, also known as Red Square, in Melaka is definitely a must-visit spot when you’re in town. This area is home to several beautifully preserved buildings, showcasing architecture from hundreds of years ago—structures that have impressively survived through wars and changing times.
You’ll find the Stadthuys, built around 1650, which once served as the center of Dutch administration. There’s also Christ Church, the oldest Protestant church in Malaysia, constructed in the 18th century.

Other landmarks include the Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower, built in 1886, and the Queen Victoria Fountain, erected in 1901 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
