La iniciativa de coleccionar discos nace gracias a la imagen que siempre tuve de mi hermano mayor quien coleccionaba discos en grandes cantidades, para ese entonces habría tenido yo unos 15 años aproximadamente, sin embargo, no fue hasta unos años después cuando inicié este fascinante camino.
Recuerdo claramente, mi padre me compró en Caracas los dos primeros discos originales que tuve, "Dookie" de Green Day y "Youthanasia" de Megadeth.

The initiative to collect records was born thanks to the image I always had of my older brother who collected records in large quantities. At that time I would have been approximately 15 years old, however, it was not until a few years later that I began this fascinating journey.
I remember clearly, my father bought me in Caracas the first two original records I had, "Dookie" by Green Day and "Youthanasia" by Megadeth.
A temprana edad yo solía escuchar música totalmente opuesta, escuchaba mucha música clásica, compositores como Mozart, Bethoveen y Chopin son de mis preferidos, (la Ballade No.1 in G minor, Op.23 de este último es lo mejor que mis oídos han escuchado) ya que me había iniciado en una escuela de piano pero al mismo tiempo escuchaba bandas como Sepultura, Deicide, Sadus, Ministry, Biohazard, Pantera entre otras tantas; un contraste notable.
Ahora miró hacia atrás y entiendo que fuí cambiando mis gustos musicales porque está tipo de música me estaba aburriendo, entonces pase a escuchar bandas tales como Ramones, The Exploited para posteriormente meterme de lleno con el género "Grunge".
Bandas como Nirvana, Alice un Chains, Pearl Jam y en menor medida Soundgarden y Soul Asylum pasaron a ser el pan de cada día. Mención especial a una nada de este género que para mí no tiene igual y que al día de hoy la considero superior y las mencionadas arriba en lo que al Grunge se refiere y no es otra que "Stone Temple Pilots" una agrupación fenomenal.
At an early age I used to listen to totally opposite music, I listened to a lot of classical music, composers like Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin are my favorites, (the Ballade No.1 in G minor, Op.23 of the latter is the best my ears have ever heard) since I had started in a piano school but at the same time I listened to bands like Sepultura, Deicide, Sadus, Ministry, Biohazard, Pantera among many others; a remarkable contrast.
Now I looked back and I understand that I was changing my musical tastes because this type of music was boring me, so I went on to listen to bands such as the Ramones, The Exploited to later get fully into the "Grunge" genre.
Bands like Nirvana, Alice un Chains, Pearl Jam and to a lesser extent Soundgarden and Soul Asylum became commonplace. Special mention to a nothing of this genre that for me has no equal and that to this day I consider superior and those mentioned above as far as Grunge is concerned and it is none other than "Stone Temple Pilots" a phenomenal group.
Finalmente, luego de conocer bandas de Power Metal al mero estilo de Stratovarius y Sonata Arctica y los ya mencionados en otros artículos guitarristas como Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani se quedaron definitivamente como lo más representativos de mis gustos musicales.
Metallica se mantuvo siempre dentro de mis bandas favoritas gracias al cambio de estilo con álbumes como Load y Reload. Ellos lograron mantenerme a la espectativa en todo momento, cosa que de seguro no hubiera ocurrido si toda su trayectoria se hubiera basado en el género Thrash Metal.
Actualmente puedo disfrutar de prácticamente cualquier artista en mayor o menor medida. Artistas como Cabas, Miguel Mateo Julieta Venegas y Andrés Calamaro me parecen geniales y con un par de cervezas mejor aún (risas).
Finally, after getting to know Power Metal bands in the mere style of Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica and those guitarists already mentioned in other articles like Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani definitely remained as the most representative of my musical tastes.
Metallica always remained among my favorite bands thanks to the change in style with albums like Load and Reload. They managed to keep me on the lookout at all times, something that surely would not have happened if their entire career had been based on the Thrash Metal genre.
Currently I can enjoy practically any artist to a greater or lesser extent. Artists like Cabas, Miguel Mateo, Julieta Venegas and Andrés Calamaro seem great to me and with a couple of beers even better (laughs).
Por último, les comentó algo que muy particular cuánto me refiero a bandas nacionales (Venezuela), mi banda favorita por lejos se llama Tiempo gris, agrupación de Heavy Metal de Mérida, no activos actualmente, probablemente no la conozcan y los entiendo ya que fue una banda que sacó un solo álbum en 1995 y no trascendieron por razones que desconozco pero la verdad creo que el potencial que mostró está banda con ese solo album era algo adelantado totalmente al rock nacional de aquel entonces, sencillamente exquisito, no he escuchado un trabajo igual en lo que a bandas nacionales se refiere. La historia se las contaré en otro artículo ya que es bastante interesante.

Lastly, he told you something very particular when I am referring to national bands (Venezuela), my favorite band by far is called Tiempo gris, a Heavy Metal group from Mérida, not currently active, you probably don't know it and I understand them since it was a band that released a single album in 1995 and did not make it known for unknown reasons, but the truth is that I believe that the potential that this band showed with that single album was something totally advanced to the national rock of that time, simply exquisite, I have not heard a work the same as for national bands. I will tell you the story in another article as it is quite interesting.

Uy mano que gran colección, que lastima que eso se ha perdido hoy día, los artistas reciben buen dinero de las regalías por cada copia comprada, de alguna manera hay que poder recuperar eso, sobre todo cuando sea nuestro momento de venderlos.
Si tuviese mucho dinero, compraría los vinilos, y una buena maquina para reproducirlos, por el simple hecho de saber como se escuchan.
Si hermano, el sonido del vinilo es increíble, me encanta.
como podrias explicar ese sonido? es decir, nunca he podido tener la oportunidad de escucharlo, es mejor que el HD ulta mega 4k sonido de internet, en spotify y youtube?

Tienes mucha variedad y eso es genial, hay discos que tenemos en común y hermano tienes severos discazos en verdad. Los de Satriani, Kenny G, The Cure... uffff demasiado nivel, ni hablar del metal que posees, hay bandotas legendarias. La música en español que posees está brutal, el de Fito y los de Héroes del Silencio me encantaron 🔥🔥🔥!!!
