Visiting The Botanical Garden

We entered the green house through this beautiful, old and modernized entrance. The building itself is not too big, but it is thoughtfully designed and has quite a few different areas to explorer. Perhaps most impressive was the small pond with the water plants. They had the Victoria water lilies there that have absolutely large leaves. They even said there that one could place a small baby in them and they would stay afloat! Not that I'd give it a try, but still impressive. The other water lilies had mesmerizing flowers that were absolutely stunning.

In another area I saw some people doing some paintings. The theme seemed to be clouds - which I obviously like a lot. The setting itself must have been inspiring and it's good to know that I could give it a try perhaps one day myself.

Some more stunning flowers and cacti... This one looked like it was right out of a Dr. Seuss book!

Some really big clouds came in rolling from the horizon. We were lucky enough that there was some shelter nearby! And then sure enough, a big thunderstorm swept over the place and left a couple of big bangs...
