📷 A Story About Japanese Quince: Beauty, Benefits, and Trials in the Garden. 🌿

Today I will share with you the interesting story of a plant that lives in my garden. Its real name is Chenomeles or Japanese Quince.

The bush is incredibly beautiful, especially during the flowering period, it is like a red cloud, all covered with flowers. The flower lasts quite a long time, and you can admire it for a long time.

It is also a fruit bush, after flowering there will be small lemons (well, that's what we say) and in general it is something like a quince, but less tart and more sour, with such an interesting aroma. I like to add it to tea.

And that would be fine, but if it gets established and settles in, it becomes quite aggressive, grows very quickly.
It can be up to 2 meters high and can grow quite widely in width. This is the first minus.

The second minus is that it is very prickly, every time after picking the fruits, your hands are all scratched. The third minus is that if you decide to transplant it, it is practically impossible, the root there is such that my son spent a week chopping it down so that he could plant something new there.

It was growing in our flower garden and we decided to transplant it, dug up a small part and transplanted it to a new place where it would not interfere and could grow on its own. The transplant was successful, the bush took root. We transplanted it 2 years ago, there were no fruits on the new bush yet, this year we hope that the bush will please us with its fruits.

Ripe fruits should peel easily, be quite soft, and have an orange hue.

We make juice preserves from it for the winter or finely chop it, sprinkle it with sugar and put it in the refrigerator.
It tastes great with tea in the winter and we get a cool alternative to lemons.

I don't know what else to do with it, maybe someone has such a bush?

Сьогодні поділюся з вами цікавою історією однієї рослини, яка живе в моєму саду.
Його правдива назва Хеномелес або Японська Айва.

Неймовірної краси кущ, особливо в період цвітіння, він як червона хмаринка, весь всіяний квітами. Цвіт тримається доволі довго, і ви зможете ним довго милуватися.
Також це плодовий кущ, після цвітіння там будуть маленькі лимончики( ну це ми так кажемо) а загалом це щось схоже на айву, але менш терпке і більш кисле, з таким цікавим ароматом. Люблю додавати в чай його.

І все б нічого, але він якщо вже приймется і обживеться, то стає доволі агресивним, розростаєтбся дуже швидко.
Висотою до 2 метрів може бути і в ширину деж доволі широко може розростатися. Це перший мінус.

Другий мінус, що він ну дуже колючий, кожен раз після збирання плодів руки всі подряпані.

Третій мінус, якщо ви надумаєте його пересадити, це практично нереально, корінь там такий, що син рубав по чучуть тиждень часу, щоб можна було там садити щось нове.

Він ріс у нас в квітнику і ми вирішили пересадити його, невеличку частину відкопали і пересадили в нове місце, де він не буде заважати і зможе собі рости.
Пересадка пройшла успішно, кущ прийнявся.
Пересадили 2 роки тому, плодів ще не було на новому кущі, цього року надіємося, що кущ потішить нас своїми плодами.

Дозрілі плоди мають добре відриватися, мають бути такими доволі м'якими і мати оранджевий відтінок.

Ми з ного робимо консервацію соку на зиму або дрібно нарізаємо, пересипаємо цукром і в холодильник. Суперово до чаю смакує зимою і класна альтернатива лимонам у нас виходить.
