Photography and Poetry are my loves in life!

‘Spring blossom flowers
Fade rapidly in color
Single petal falls’

The beginning and end of stories are very hard to imagine sometimes. And life much the same. Just like the poem, often moments are fleeting. Color brightens in Spring, and if you live in areas with Winter like me, color is stolen with the cold. But do not despair because Spring always comes after frost.

My life like the seasons, has ebbed and flowed with time. A lot has happened. In the moment a whirlwind. But now looking back every bit feels like it had to have happened in the way it did. I’ll definitely go into more details in later posts, but who wants to hear the spoilers already? I’m at a place now in my life that feels very calm. A quiet stream of water, flowing between rocks, listening to the branches in the wind. Watching life dance before me, admiring the changes in the seasons.

So far this year, I’ve found both a love for photography and poetry. And exploring my gardening hobbies again. No matter what others think of my work or how I might ‘gain’ from these hobbies. They’re for the enjoyment of my life. Tools and teachers. To see the world in a way that I think that the money hustle and grind sometimes takes away from.

I’m certainly not saying money isn’t important. That’s not the theme I’m going for here. But what I am emphasizing is the joy of life. The flavors. The smells. The sights. The touch. The taste.

Step out into a rainstorm and dance. Or smash that thing you’ve been wanting to get rid of. Cuddle by the warmth of a fire. Be adventurous for your dinner by trying a recipe you know you’re not good at. Because who is watching you? Who really cares if it doesn’t turn out as expected? At the end of the day you tried it instead of living in the box of ‘I can’t’ or ‘What if…?’ Or the dreaded ‘What if others judge me?’

All I want is to live my life. As me. For me. And by fulfilling myself. I can finally be free. So what do you think? What are your goals and interests? What’s that thing that you want to try but don’t for some reason?

As always, thanks for listening to my story and me rambling about stuff. I always appreciate every interaction, no matter how small it may be. I love the Hive community and all of you who put effort into making it a good place to be in. Thanks so much!
Have a good one,
♥️ With lots of love @timmy-turnip ♥️
If you've read this far, I would enjoy any follows and will follow back. I want to build a community of love and kindness. We all deserve that.
