Today, after finishing my workday, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood and capture some photos of the buildings that caught my attention the most because of their vintage style. 📸
I have always liked this particular area of my city because of its urban design, elegance, variety of colors, as well as its diverse gastronomic and recreational options.

Siempre me ha gustado esta zona en particular de mi ciudad, debido a su estilo urbanístico, elegancia, variedad de colores además de las diferentes ofertas gastronómicas y recreativas.

Its wide avenues, green areas, and buildings reflect Havana’s urban growth during the 20th century.

Sus amplias avenidas, áreas verdes y edificaciones reflejan el crecimiento urbano de La Habana durante el siglo XX.

Vedado is also known for its old houses, many with gardens and wide porches, designed to adapt to the tropical climate. 🌴 These homes convey a sense of calm and elegance that contrasts with the busier parts of the city.

However, like many areas in Havana, the passage of time is visible. Some buildings show signs of wear, but this does not take away their essence or beauty. 💭

This walk through Vedado made me appreciate how architecture can tell the story of a constantly evolving city.
