🥰Memories of a nice curry and rice dish 💕🍲

Hey guys it's me Tigermom from South Africa. Welcome to my blog. For the people that don't know me I like to write about food. Sometimes I write just plain food that I make at night sometimes I make with recipes. I hope that everyone is doing well here on the @foodiesbeehive. Today I'm writing a memory dish that my dad always used to make. It was the best dish he made for dinner. He passed away 2 years ago. And I miss him a lot these days. On Sunday night last weekend, I decided to make some nice chicken curry with chicken wings 😀
My dad always made this curry but joh sometimes it was very hot with the curry but very tasty.

Let me take you and show you how I made this awesome chicken curry 😉

I took a pot and add a cup of rice and then I rinsed it off with cold water, then I added some water and on the stove with some salt to cook.

Next up I took 1 big onion, 2 tomatoes, and 1 celery stick cut everything up, and added it to a frying pan with a little bit of oil to fry the ingredients. I always use my M@sterchef pan to cook. I make everything in it haha.

The next step what I did was to add some spice to it I used salt, BBQ spice, and 2 teaspoons of hot/mild curry powder.

I took the chicken wings added them to the pan let them fry with the ingredients. Then I added a little bit of water.

I took 2 potatoes and peeled the skin off and added them all to the dish. Now what is curry without garlic 😉I added one teaspoon.

I can remember my dad always made this curry with baked beans and carrots, but I didn't have carrots. Well, I had baked beans 😊when the food was almost done I added the baked beans. I put the heat on the stove a little bit lower and let It cook slowly.

Now all the food is done and ready to eat. My son doesn't like hot and spicy stuff so I made him something else.

Well thats my food for that day haha. It was very tasty.
That night my husband told me, my love it's tasting just like your dads. I was happy about it.

You guys must have a wonderful weekend. And what ever you do you guys must enjoy it.

It's actually very nice with baked beans. You must try it. We learned it in Durban though. I want to try it one time with redbeans

Perhaps the bean curry would have them with selection of other beans in, living in Durban each family has a different recipe.

I mix it up, different with just about every dish I make, never following any particular recipe, Indian friends taught me basics years ago, now it's pot luck! !LOLZ
