The birthday boy
For this day we are presented with a cake. Beautifully decorated makes us think about how rich its flavor is. A dessert that children, young people, adults and older adults like. The star of the night on all birthdays, and always will be...
Orlando was a charming boy, he lived with his mother on the outskirts of the old Caracas-La Guaira highway. At that time, when the school season arrived, all the children who lived in the area would be picked up by a bus at 6:30 sharp to take them to school. He and his friends had fun telling the adventures of his favorite things. Heroes, toys, television programs, cartoons, sweets and snacks, were the protagonists on the way to and from school.
One day when getting on the bus, he told his friends that there were 7 days left until his birthday and he did it in a particular way. He said-"Only 7 days until my birth cake!!"-and his friends told him-"It will be for your birthday!!"-and they all laughed with him when he answered them-"It's the same, you guys understood"-
The days passed very slowly, or at least Orlando felt that way. He couldn't stop thinking about the rich tres leches cake garnished with strawberries that his mom had promised him for that special date. He imagined the gifts, the different games that his brothers would create to liven up the party and the delicious trinkets they would have to offer and share.
His mother, on the other hand, had bought all the ingredients for her cake and kept them at Grandma's house so that everything would be a surprise for him. His brothers took out a game of "pin the tail on the donkey" that they had saved for occasions like these, and they bought the sweets that would be the prize for the winners in the different activities, in addition to those that would serve as consolation for those who, although they did not win , they risked participating!
Finally the long-awaited date arrived. It was Friday, the last day of school that week and when he got on the bus all his friends jumped on him and in a group hug they wished him "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" !!!!. He stood very still until they returned to their posts and then he exclaimed "Thank you all; but until I eat cake, I haven't had a birthday."

Late in the afternoon and with his friends gathered at his house, everyone cleared their throats and loudly sang "Happy Birthday". After receiving the congratulations and his PIECE OF CAKE he exclaimed: Now yes, I HAVE MY BIRTHDAY, THANK YOU ALL!!
