Winter photos hidden on the phone

While browsing through my phone's photos, I realized I have some interesting winter pictures I haven't shared here before. Some are from 2022, a few from last year, and most are from this year. I'm taking a trip down memory lane to compare past snowfalls with today's. Sometimes they're joyful, sometimes sad, and sometimes they evoke no emotion at all.

Telefondaki fotoğrafları kurcalarken daha önce burada paylaşmadığım ilgi çekici kış fotoğraflarının olduğunu fark ettim. Bazıları 2022 yılına ait bir kaçı geçen yıla ve çoğu da bu yıla ait. Geçmişteki kar yağışlarını günümüzdeki kar yağışları ile kıyaslamak için geçmişe yolculuk yapıyorum. Bazen keyifli, bazen hüzünlü bazen de hiç bir duygu uyandırmıyor.

I took this photo last year during the first snowfall. It was towards the end of November. There was a surprisingly heavy snowfall. There's a wonderful aesthetic harmony between the brown mosque minaret and the snow.

Fotoğrafı geçen yıl ilk kar yağdığı dönemde çekmiştim. Kasım ayının sonlarına doğruydu. Sürpriz şekilde yoğun bir kar yağışı olmuştu. Kahverengi camii minaresi ile kar arasında harika estetik bir uyum var.

This is from 2022. There are ski resorts quite close to my house. After heavy snowfall, a snow groomer is crushing the snow. After this process, skiers start skiing.

2022 yılına ait. Evime oldukça yakın bir yerde kayak tesisleri var. Yoğun kar yağışı sonrası kar ezme makinesi karları eziyor. Bu işlemden sonra kayakçılar kayak yapmaya başlar.

A building near my friend's house that has always caught my attention. The owner isn't here at the moment, so they can't take care of it. The house is quite old and neglected. The window panes are broken. The snow accumulating on top of the house poses a danger. The melting snow weakens the earthen structure over the years. The minaret of the mosque in the back manages to make its presence felt.

Arkadaşımın evine yakın bir yerde bulunan ve sürekli ilgimi çeken bir yapı. Mülk sahibi şu an burada olmadığı için ev ile ilgilenemiyor. Ev oldukça eski ve bakımsız. Penceredeki camlar kırık. Evin tepesinde biriken karlar ev için tehlike. Eriyen kar suları toprak yapıyı yıllar geçtikçe güçsüz durumda bırakır. Arka tarafta bulunan camii minaresi kendini göstermeyi başarıyor.

This is a photo I took this year. The snow accumulated on the roofs of the houses looks quite beautiful. It reminded me a bit of a cartoon scene. I've always been interested in winter scenes in cartoons. I took this photo while going to clean the roof of our house in the village.

Bu yıl geçtiğim fotoğraf. Evlerin çatısında biriken karlar göze oldukça hoş geliyor. Bana biraz çizgi film sahnesini hatırlattı. Çizgi filmlerin kış sahneleri hep ilgimi çekmiştir. Köyde bulunan evimizin çatısını temizlemeye giderken çekmiştim bu fotoğrafı.

This is another photo I took this year. Previously, this was the city center. Ceremonies were held here, and the governor's office and other institutions were located in this area. Now, the governor's office is no longer here. There's a statue of Atatürk, a historical madrasa right behind it... and a majestic mountain in the background. Actually, I could take many interesting photos in this area, but there are soldiers here and they don't approve of photography.

Yine bu yıl çektiğim resim. Önceleri burası şehrin merkeziydi. Törenler bu alanda yapılır, valilik ve diğer kurumlar bu bölgede bulunurdu. Şimdilerde valilik artık burada değil. Atatürk heykeli, hemen arkada tarihi bir medrese... En arkada heybetli bir dağ. Aslında bu bölgede çok ilgi çekici fotoğraflar çekebilirim ancak bu bölgede askerler var ve fotoğraf çekilmesini uygun bulmuyorlar.
