Winter is back! Snow removal!

Even as we enter spring, we are still experiencing winter in its most intense form. For about two weeks in February, temperatures were above seasonal norms. The warmth had melted most of the snow, and the trees even seemed to be preparing to sprout leaves. But suddenly, the temperature dropped, and this lasted for a few days. Snowfall usually gives some indication a few days in advance. A few days before the snow falls, the temperature drops incredibly, and then it begins to snow.

We have an unused house in a village quite close to the city center. The house doesn't have a roof. Naturally, when it snows, it accumulates on top. Snow that stays there for a long time damages the house. Therefore, when it snows, the snow on top of the house needs to be cleared. There was a snowdrift about 40-45 cm high. Because the bottom of the snowdrift was wet, shoveling it was quite difficult. It's easier to shovel dry snow; it's lighter, and snowplows can easily operate on this type of snow.
